Born in 1973 in Sofia. Graduated in scenography
Born in 1973 in Sofia.
Graduated in scenography from the National Academy of Fine Arts, Sofia, Bulgaria (1997). While still a student, she was also author of the
scenography of several theater productions.
Graduated from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris, in 2002 with special recognition of the examiners’ board.
Co-founder of the artist collectives “L’Agence” (2002) and “&nbsp” (2005).
Since 2005 she has taken active part in the actions of alternative art space «La Générale» in Paris and Sèvre.
In early 2008 she installed sound recording equipment at her studio and set up the “BOSCH” duet.
Works with video, sculpture, sound, installation and performance.
She charges her works with references to more general places, a kind of template creating extra-frame space and parasitizing on any kind of
interpretation. She focuses on this particular space at the expense of the very image. The viewer is often placed in front of the experience
where “I see” actually means “I acknowledge” and where perception is guided not so much by the image itself but by the hints provided for
interpretation.
