UNCONVENTIONAL MUSTS
This is a quick guide to nice little places that
usually are overlooked by conventional travel
books. If you have limited hours to get a taste
of a city’s real life, this is your ideal minimap.
2 L’ETOILE DE MONTMARTRE
Nice local café in the relaxed side of Montmartre.
Good wine selection,
etoile-de-montmartre.fr
26 rue Duhesme
T : 01 46 05 11 65
“In any guide to Paris you can find all the usual stuff
you can do in Montmartre, arguably one of the most
“Parisian” quartiers of Paris, or maybe just one of the
most cute and cinematographic (as made famous by
Amélie.) In this minimap I share with you things that are
not so obvious, places that are not tourist traps, and
one secret: getting lost walking around Montmartre is
as unavoidable as it is wonderful. Bonne journée!”

1 LA RECYCLERIE
3 MUSÉE DE MONTMARTRE
Touristic ma non troppo. Showcases all the
history of the area and Renoir’s swing.
museedemontmartre.fr
12 rue Cortot
T : 01 49 25 89 39
Open every day, all year, from 10am to 6pm
4 BROCÉLIANDE
New co-working space, resto, bar & urban
farm in an abandoned gare and railway.
Des crêpes et galettes bretonnes. Yumm.
Recommeded with cider. A la vôtre! (:

83 boulevard Ornano
15 rue des 3 Frères

T : 01 42 23 31 34
Open 12m - 3pm / 7 - 10:30pm
Edited by Marie James & Ana Laya.
5 LE BATEAU LAVOIR
Residence & meeting place for a group of early 20th
century artist like Picasso, Gris, Cocteau & Matisse.
Some say it was the birth place of cubism. You can’t
go in, but you can rest your feet in the mini Place
Émile Godeau... and then keep walking.
(If you’re into Amélie, you’re super close to the little
supermarket Au Marché de la Butte).
13 rue Ravignan
6 LE LOUXOR
Nice, recently remodeled, art-decó cinema that is
almost a hundred years old.
cinemalouxor.fr
170 boulevard de Magenta
T : 01 44 63 96 96
7 LA FOURMI
Nice Pigalle boho style bar. Nice wines and beers. Also
it’s cheap (!) and close to the venues La Cigale & Le Boule
Noire. It does not have website though. Oh, le français.
74 rue des Martyrs
