Changes in course dates and times or cancelling of single lessons are possible due
to unavailability of ice patches at the ice rink St. Jakob Arena during the summer
season. Changes will be communicated in time.

www.ecbeiderbasel.ch . ECB-members are guaranteed a place within the limits of the
courses offered. If you do not hear from us, your child/you has/have received a place

200.- CHF
The course fee for non-members is 250.- CHF.
Payment method
The course fee should be paid prior to the start of the course giving the name of the
participant and the annotation: Bsp Sommerkurs 2015

Insurance
Accident insurance is the responsibility of the participants; the ECB does not accept
any liability.
Ice skating rink
entrance fees
Eisarena St. Jakob: entrance during the course time is included.
Reduced entrance fee when open to the general
winter-season-2014/15 - membership card.
Age
Teenager’s course: Year 2003 and older (ages 12 and over)
Course length
1 hour
Group Size
Courses will take place with a minimum of 5 and up to 12 participants. If a course has
too few or too many applicants, the ECB will provide alternatives wherever possible.
Course places
ECB members are guaranteed course places within the limits of our course program.
New course participants will receive available places after definitive written
application has been received. For organisational reasons we reserve the right to hold
courses at times other than those listed.
Course instructors
The courses are always given partly by ECB trainers and partly by our course
instructors. It is not possible for us to consider individual wishes for certain instructors
and we are subject to possible changes in instructors during the season.
Dress code
Solid figure skating skates with laces (no plastic shell boots or hockey shoes).
(Woolly) hat, gloves as well as stretchy clothing suitable to the temperature.
Code of conduct
The paticipants should be on time and wait at the entrance of the ice rink until they are
asked to come on the ice.
Do not walk on the ice in everyday shoes. Consuming food (including chewing gum)
is not allowed on the ice. We ask parents not to stand at the edge of the ice skating rink
since it distracts the children.
Star test / Sternlitest
Participants, who are considered ready for a star test, will be informed by their
instructor.
IMPORTANT
Changes in course dates and times are possible due to unavailability of ice patches
at the ice rink St. Jakob Arena during the summer season. Information concerning
those changes will be given during the courses and will be available on our homepage:
www.ecbeiderbasel.ch. Please use it to inform yourself.
