The results give the complete documentation, the circuit diagram, terminal diagrams part lists, cable lists, connection lists, … With ELSCHRANK, the layout of a switch cabinet can immediately be designed using the database of the circuit diagram. Without repeated data entry, it results in a complete and correct mechanical construction of the switch cabinet. From this layout, ELSCHRANK generates CNC-manufacturing commands and production data which can be given to various manufacturing centres for the actual manufacture (drilling, milling, threading) for quick and accurate assembling. ELWIRE is the last link for the interlocking of construction and automatic manufacturing. The length calculation is based on the switch cabinet layout and a connecting list, determined by a practically orientated routing algorithm. For every demand the right length. Stages of development for individual needs The optimal project overview As an automated switch cabinet layout system, ELSCHRANK offers an open system concept, as an universally applicable layout software for all planners and designers of electrical systems. The basis for working with ELSCHRANK is a reference master data file. For realising the construction work, only simple date like dimensions (width, heigth, deepness) are necessary. This technical data is available in the manufacturers files. Macros or device drawings are not necessary for the planning work, however are supplemental (e.g. using them for displaying complex view of a device). Avoiding errors in planning steps is made possible by automatic consideration of block distances. Components with varying extent, like mounting rail or wiring ducts, are managed by ELSCHRANK considering the maximum available lengths. Also, device types can be defined to be blocked for the take over to ELSCHRANK. The reference master data can accept various information (for example construction drawings or names or images), which can be used for re-evaluation of the graphic representation. To use the optional interface for the different manufacturing centres, the reference master data can store the necessary control commands or can store a rule of display and take over the complete drilling scheme. As an additional service with ELSCHRANK, you can order the built up and maintenance of your user customised reference database. ElSchrank combines the representation of different assembly fields and switch cabinet views in one project. The used devices, - e.g. sorted by device types - are imported from the circuit diagrams of the CAE system. Through the design of the device list with all important parameters of the single devices all connections are immediately recognizably. Selecting a device is made optionally. With the arrangement of the devices the system ensures the optimum overview in the switch cabinet for example, by short wiring ways, attention of limiting values, good assembly possibility etc. The import interface to manufacturing centres, the process chain for "electrotechnical construction" is consistently continued. ELSCHRANK generates from the layout of the switch cabinet information about positioning and manufacturing commands. At the touch of a button, all production data is delivered, for immediately processing by machine control centres. Access to CAE-device lists According to demand, two modules with different performance features are possible: ELSCHRANK standard and ELSCHRANK professional. ELSCHRANK professional is already equipped with an interface for importing of EPLAN® parts lists and reference master data. ELSCHRANK is designed as an "open system", working together with any CAE system and different manufacturing centres. The principle: The design of the logical structure of a circuit diagram occurs in an electrotechnical CAE system. The results are circuit documents with terminal plans, device lists, cable lists and connecting lists. After importing these lists into ELSCHRANK, an interactive panel layout is designed. The benefit for planner and designer: Without repeated data input, a complete and correct mechanical construction of the switch cabinet is designed. The planning steps in ElSchrank orientate themselves by the practical work in the switch cabinet manufacturing. Refinement steps in an already carried out planning are possible as well as test constructions, and are made fast and efficiently directly at the workstation.
