Dear DataZug Customer
Your Internet connection gives you not only access to worldwide services and information, without any
preventions you also made your computer accessible to all Internet users. As a provider of Internet
services with high quality standards, we would like to inform you about security measures for your
computers security and a carefree surf experience!

Password E-Mail:Should you still use the inital password, we kindly advise you to change it
immediately on our mail server. To do that, please log in with your user profile and password on the
Webmail ( <http://webmail.datazug.ch> ) . Click on the left hand side on “Einstellungen” (“settings”)
and chose “Kennwort” (“password”) under the user profile. In the first field, please enter your new
password and repeat it in the next field again. Please note that the password must contain at least six
characters - as well as at least one lower case letter, one capital letter, one number and one special sign.
It must not contain any blanks. Now, save your changes "Speichern". The new password would be also
activ on the service portal "myDataZug (<http://my.datazug.ch> ) and your E-mail program.Firewall:
Protect your computer with a firewall against unwanted visitors! A firewall is working like a
policeman in a security check at the airport. It gives access only to people (data packages), which own
a valid flight ticket.
Operating system update: Use these updates to keep your computer up to date and to close possible
security holes. Windows Update for example does check your computer and offer you a selection of
updates for your computer. (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/)
Wireless LAN (WLAN): This technology connects different network devices via radio. WLAN
devices with their default settings submit data mostly without any encryption to every person and
every device in their environment. In this case any person is able to access data or even use your
DataZug-Internet connection causing a high amount of data to your account. We recommend that
WLAN devices only gain access with authorization and communicate with enabled encryption.
Antivirus: An antivirus program checks people with a valid flight ticket additionally for their health
condition. The people are only allowed to pass, if they are healthy respectively do not have a virus
(data package is checked for virus)
DataZug Notifier: This free service is a tool, which is able to supervise your data traffic actively.
DataZug-Notifier is not a replacement for a firewall or an antivirus program (more information in
"Leaflet DataZug-Notifier")
