DVD Audition requirements DVD and Photo -­‐ Dress code Girls: 1. Light colored leotard (white, pink, light blue etc.) no skirts please, 2. Pink tights 3. Pink flat and pointe shoes. 4. Girls hair should be put in a tight (no whispy ends) and well placed bun, proportionate to the head. Boys: 1. Black or Light colored tights for boys 2. White tight fitting top or t-­‐shirt. 3. Either white shoes with matching socks, or matching socks/tights and shoes of another color. 3. Boys hair should be out of the face clean cut, and proportionate to the head. Photo procedure: All applicants must include the following photos: 1. Head shot 2. Full body shot (front and back view) feet parallel 3. Full body shot with tendu side 4. Full body shot first arabesque en face DVD procedure Please send a region free DVD with your name and contact information on the case or cover and DVD face. Please show the following elements on one side only, and the combinations should be kept to a minimum. The whole DVD should not exceed 15 minutes. Barre: 1. Plié 2. Tendu 3. Jeté/piqué 4. Rond de jambe with port de bras 5. Fondu 6. Frappé 7. Adagio (showing full extention) 8. Rond de jambe en l’air/ frappé 9. Grand battement Centre: 1. Adagio showing full extention and one element of pirouette e.g. arabesque, attitude etc… 2. Pirouette combination Allegro: 1. Petit Allegro including assemblé, jeté, brisé 2. Medium Allegro including cissone fermé, ouvert 3. Grande Allegro including saut de chat, entralacé, cabriole (for men tours en lair) Coda: 1. Fouetté for women, piourettes in second for men. Pointe work (girls): 1. échappé, retiré 2. relevé arabesque At your own discretion you may also include: 1. Coupe jetes for men en tournant 2. Piqué turns en tournant (manège) Variations: You may include an excerpt of a performance or in studio variation of only classical or classical and contemporary genre (in costume or not) to be considered by our panel, but it is not obligatory.
