Horace Andy hat sich von seinem ersten Album an ("Skylarking" für Studio One 1969) über die 70er & 80er
Jahre hinweg (mit großen Erfolgen u.a. für Bunny Lee und Bullwackie), bis zu seinen Gastbeiträgen bei den
fünf Massive Attack Alben (1991 bis 2010) einen Ehrenplatz in der genreübergreifenden Musikhistorie
erworben. "In The Light" gehört zu den besten Reggae Longplayern der 70er Jahre und ist nun wieder
erhältlich. Die Musik wurde von Kevin Metcalfe remastered, und für die CD wurden die zehn Songs der
Erstveröffentlichung mit den zehn dazugehörigen Dub-Versionen von Prince Jammy ergänzt. Die beiden
Original LPs "In The Light" und "In The Light Dub" wurden auch als individuelle Vinyl-Editionen neu
aufgelegt!

In The Light is rightly regarded as Horace Andy’s strongest testament. Originally released in 1977 and given
confirmed reggae album classic status by it’s 1995 Blood & Fire label release, it’s re-issued here complete
with it’s Prince Jammy dub companion as 20-track disc along with newly commissioned sleeve notes from
reggae historian Noel Hawks featuring previously unseen photos. Horace Andy’s profile already legendary
in reggae circles, has been internationally raised by his work with Massive Attack and his continued live
