Our project is a brave bid, that starts from the territory to project
itself outwards to the world, that multiplies its efforts to provide
the street arts creators with instruments to enable them to train,
produce their shows and place them on the market. In this sense,
and for the second year running, through the Support for Creation
Programme, FiraTàrrega is presented as a model of performing arts
fair that goes beyond the four days of the programme of shows and
professional activities. The project is committed to the sector 365
days a year and is visible throughout the street arts season, from
April to September.
This year, a good proportion of the shows programmed in the official
section, that we can see between the 6th and 9th of September,
come from the nursery of projects that we have nurtured through
different lines of co-production, either the creation laboratories,
transnational co-productions, or the creative stays.

We can say that the programme at FiraTàrrega 2012 as a whole is
a 360-degree panorama of the most up-to-date creativity and an
extensive x-ray of our artists’ capacity to imagine possible new worlds,
hybrids, without prejudices of gender or gratuitous classifications.
Thus, it becomes a reflection of the times we live in, regarding subjects,
focuses and forms. We hope that this diversity and commitment is as
stimulating for you as it is for us.

Notre projet est un courageux défi qui sort du territoire afin de se projeter vers
le monde, et multiplie ses efforts pour donner des instruments aux créateurs des
arts de la rue pour qu’ils puissent se former, produire leurs spectacles et les placer
sur le marché. Dans ce sens et pour la deuxième année consécutive, à travers le
Programme de Soutien à la création, FiraTàrrega se présente comme un modèle
de foire d’arts scéniques qui va au-delà des quatre jours de programmation de
spectacles et activités professionnelles. Le projet se dédit à ce secteur pendant les
365 jours de l’année et dispose de visibilité pendant toute la saison des arts de la
rue c’est-à-dire d’avril à septembre.
Cette année une grande partie de la programmation de spectacles de la section
officielle, que l’on peut voir du 6 au 9 septembre, provient d’une pépinière de
projets que nous avons accompagnés à travers différentes lignes de coproduction
que ce soit par les laboratoires de création, les coproductions transnationales ou
bien les résidences créatives.
Nous pouvons dire que la programmation de FiraTàrrega 2012 dans son ensemble, jette un regard de 360º sur la créativité la plus actuelle et devient une
radiographie étendue de la capacité de nos artistes à imaginer de nouveaux
mondes possibles, hybrides, sans préjugés de genre ni classifications gratuites.
Elle devient donc un reflet des temps actuels en ce qui concerne les mises au
point et les formes. Nous souhaitons que cette diversité et cet engagement vous
paraissent aussi stimulants qu’à nous-mêmes.

TICKET SALES
1) The programme follows the 24-hour clock. A show that starts after 12
midnight is included on the following day’s list.
2) Access to the paying spectacles after they have started is prohibited.
3) When planning your menu of paying spectacles, leave at least 60 minutes
between the expected finishing time of one and the start of the next.
4) Tickets cannot be returned. Ensure that the tickets you are given at the
box office are the ones you have requested.
5) The Teatre Ateneu has numbered seats. The seats in the other venues are
not numbered.
6) People with handicaps or physical impediments have preference on
entering the venues. Ask at the door for this priority.
7) Disconnect all mobile phones and watch alarms during the performance.
8) Tickets sold on-line will include a commission for distribution.
9) If a paying spectacle is suspended, as long as it has not exceeded 50% of
its running time, the tickets can only be refunded at the same sales point
where they were acquired.
10) No recording of any kind (images/ sound) is allowed in closed venues
except for the authorised press.

WIRED AERIAL THEATRE
As the world tipped
MULTIDISCIPLINARY
An ambitious production of large-format aerial theatre that combines very spectacular
audiovisuals with an impressive aerial performance to tell a moving story about the
world ecological crisis starting from the shameful political result of the Climate Change
Conference held in Copenhagen in 2009. Hanging in the night sky, the artists struggle to
control their ever more precarious world, and to face the effects of the drastic environmental
catastrophe. An epic portrait to raise awareness about the previsible consequences the
planet will have to face in the future. A show that will leave your mouth hanging open,
written and directed by Nigel Jamieson, one of the most prestigious international creators
in street arts (Sydney Olympic Games, Liverpool Cultural Capital).
Une ambitieuse production de théâtre aérien de grand format qui mêle audiovisuels très spectaculaires
à une imposante interprétation aérienne pour expliquer une captivante histoire de la crise écologique
mondiale en partant du honteux résultat politique de la Conférence sur le Changement Climatique qui
eut lieu à Copenhague en 2009. Suspendus dans le ciel de la nuit, les artistes luttent pour contrôler
leur monde chaque fois plus précaire et pour affronter les effets radicaux de la catastrophe environnementale. Une peinture épique qui cherche à faire prendre conscience des conséquences prévisibles
que la planète devra affronter dans le futur. Un spectacle qui vous laissera bouche bée, écrit et dirigé

Fighting for your dreams is hard, living them is not easy, but giving them up can be much
more painful. With this in mind, the young Balearic company 10 cèntims present a show
which is a reflection, with a great sense of humour, about the limits between fantasy,
dreams, desires and reality. An outburst of emotions and experiences, spontaneous and
fresh, in search of the essence of the human being through very authentic experiences.

Lutter pour des rêves est dur, le vivre n’est pas facile mais y renoncer peut être encore plus douloureux. Avec cette prémisse, la jeune compagnie des Baléares 10 céntims, suit le fil d’un spectacle qui est

After their success with Flirt (San Miguel Award FiraTàrrega 2010) Always Drinking and
the clown Guillem Albà have consolidated a tightly-knit artistic team and have dared to
produce a street theatre and music show with a clearly festive nature. Surrealistic gags,
comical situations, interaction with the audience and an exceptional musical quality are
the bases for this chameleonic and irreverent show.
Après le succès de l’expérience Flirt (Prix San Miguel FiraTàrrega 2010) l’Always Drinking et le clown
Guillem Albà consolident un équipe artistique qui s’entend bien et qui s’aventure dans la production d’un spectacle de rue de théâtre et musique avec un caractère ludique et festif marqué. Des
gags surréalistes, des situations comiques, de l’interaction avec le public et une qualité musicale
exceptionnelle sont les prémisses de ce spectacle caméléonique et irrévérend.

Josep Rodri is the brain behind this company that made an
impact in 2003 with Morir a Bagdad (Premi Aplaudiment
FAD Sebastià Gasch 2004), a profound reflection about
war. In 2006, they again surprised us with the exhibitionspectacle Violències, which was very well received. Restless
and timely, they now surprise us with Ferro colat, a dramaturgic trip through the lives of the workers and working
conditions in a nondescript factory during the industrial
expansion. A multidisciplinary proposal that delves into
the factory world of the 20th century, a past epoch that
has given way to the current technological age.
Josep Rodri est le cerveau de cette compagnie qui, en 2003 surprit avec Morir a Bagdad (Prix Aplaudiment FAD Sebastià Gasch
2004) qui faisait une profonde réflexion sur la guerre. Il surprit
à nouveau avec son exposition-spectacle Violències, qui reçut un
excellent accueil. Inquiet et opportun, il nous surprend maintenant avec Ferro colat, un parcours dramaturgique à travers la vie
des ouvriers et les conditions de travail dans une usine indéterminée en pleine expansion industrielle. Une proposition multidisciplinaire qui réflléchit sur le monde manufacturier du XXème
siècle, qui a ouvert le passage à l’ère de la technologie actuelle.

DANCE
An itinerant futuristic urban dance show. It is the year
2222 and the planet has been left in the dark by climate
change. The robots BR2 are in charge of entertaining
the humans and supplying them with the light they
synthesise from sunbeams; a magic light that provokes
laughter health, and happiness. The BR2s want to show
us that despite everything there is always a ray of hope.
Ah! And the robots also know how to dance.
Spectacle itinérant de danse urbaine de style futuriste. Nous
sommes en 2222 et la planète est maintenant dans l’ombre à
cause du changement climatique. Les robots BR2 sont chargés
de distraire les humains et de les alimenter avec la lumière qu’ils
synthétisent à partir des rayons solaires; une lumière magique
qui provoque le rire, la santé et le bonheur. Les BR2 cherchent à
prouver que, malgré tout, il reste un peu d’espoir et d’enthousiasme. Ah! Et que les robots savent danser!

While she waits on a platform for a train, a woman asks us
where the people go when they disappear from our lives
and thus starts an imaginative journey to the world of
our memories. Kiss & Cry arises from the coming together
of the cinema, dance, words, theatre and manipulation.
A unique choreographic performance, by moving the
hands. An intimate reflection on the characters who
have got lost in the black holes of our memory. An
appetising and magic combination of melancholy, poetry
and humour to reactivate our neurons.
Pendant qu’elle attend le train sur le quai, une femme se demande où vont les gens lorsqu’ils disparaissent de nos vies et elle
commence un voyage imaginaire au monde des souvenirs. Kiss &
Cry est né de la rencontre entre le cinéma, la danse, les mots, le
théâtre et la manipulation. Une représentation chorégraphique
unique, réalisée par le mouvement des mains. Une réflexion intime au sujet des personnages qui se sont perdus dans les trous
noirs de notre mémoire. Un attrayant et magique mélange de
mélancolie, de poésie et d’humour qui réactive nos neurones.

The Espai Conxita brings together different spectacles from a theatre fair in an amusement park. These include little boxes of surprises that give the spectator an intimate and
unforgettable experience. A different way to show the theatre, where the interaction
with the audience is indispensable for the show to exist. Original and curious proposals
that work simultaneously, under the same aesthetic wrapping and with the same purpose: to surprise the audience.
L’Espai Conxita regroupe dans un singulier parc d’attractions différents spectacles de théâtre de
foire qui, comme de petites boîtes à surprise, offrent au spectateur une expérience intime et inoubliable. Une façon différente de montrer le théâtre où l’interaction du public est indispensable
pour permettre au spectacle d’exister. Propositions originales et curieuses qui fonctionnent simultanément sous une même enveloppe: surprendre le public.

The wandering orquestra
THEATRE
An orchestra arrives in the town in a vehicle loaded down with old instruments: violins,
violas, a cello... The quintet are looking for the venue of their concert but no one knows
where they have to play or who they have to talk to. A street show directed by Sergi
Estebanell that looks for interaction with the audience wherever they go, generating
uncertainty, creating gags and provoking smiles from the passers-by. The adventures
and misadventures of an impossible concert.
Un orchestre arrive dans la ville dans un véhicule bourré d’instruments anciens: des violons, des
violes, des violoncelles... Le quintet musical cherche un endroit où réaliser son concert mais personne ne sait où il doit jouer ni avec qui il doit parler. Un spectacle de rue dirigé par Sergi Estebanell qui recherche l’interaction avec le public là où il passe en provocant la confusion, en créant
des gags et en faisant sourire les passants. Les péripéties et mésaventures d’un impossible concert.

Solos
MUSIC/DANCE
A company of artists trained in the musical theatre
and specialised in tap-dancing, singing, dancing and
acting. Solos is a street tap-dancing proposal with five
performers who use a range of resources and disciplines,
including dance, percussion, music, theatre, multimedia
and digital art, and interaction with the audience. The
show is based on observing the feeling of isolation that
has permeated modern society. Under the appearance
and need to be always busy, accompanied and apparently
happy, in reality we hide a deep loneliness.
Compagnie composée d’artistes formés au théâtre musical et
spécialisés dans les claquettes, le chant, la danse et l’interprétation. Solos est une proposition de claquettes de rue avec cinq
personnages qui utilisent différentes ressources et disciplines
comme la danse, la percussion, la musique, le théâtre, l’art multimédia et numérique et l’interaction avec le public. Le spectacle part de l’observation du sentiment d’isolement qui s’est
installé dans la société actuelle. Sous l’apparence et le besoin

CIRCUS
A show full of poetry and humour which takes us to a
familiar place of warm and celebratory meetings, that
mixes circus, dance and music. Under an avalanche of
acrobatics, leaps, human pyramids in movement and
many impeccable technical figures, the protagonists
explore the different layers of our individual and
collective personality and show us the most authentic
being. A football, a rope, some sheets or the entrails
of a cupboard become a pretext and a support for the
stage and acrobatic action. The show has won the 2011
Zirkolika Award for the Best Indoor Circus Show and the
2011 City of Barcelona Circus Prize.

Spectacle de poésie et d’humour qui nous transporte dans un
endroit familier fait de rencontres chaleureuses et festives où
se mêlent le cirque, la danse et la musique. Dans un flot d’accrobaties, de sauts, de pyramides humaines en mouvement et
de nombreuses figures techniques impeccables, les protagonistes explorent les différentes couches de notre personnalité
individuelle et collective et nous font découvrir l’être le plus
authentique. Un ballon de football, une corde, des draps ou
les entrailles d’une armoire se tranforment en prétexte et en
support de l’action scénique et accrobatique. Le spectacle a reçu
le Prix Zirkolika 2011 au Meilleur Spectacle de Cirque de Salle et
le Prix Ville de barcelone de Cirque 2011.

PERFORMANCE ART
What would happen if the audience were suddenly
transformed into the show? Jaume Belló –director,
playwright, theatre teacher and authentic guru of
the performing arts in Lleida– proposes this through
observing the spectators at FiraTàrrega in the streets and
squares and draws up a map of sounds of the town. A
massive large-format performative action, built around
a workshop on movement and bodily expression held in
Tàrrega this summer with people with no links to the
acting world.
Que se passerait-il si tout-à-coup le public devenait le spectacle?
Jaume Belló –directeur, dramaturge, pédagogue théâtral et
authentique gourou des arts scéniques de Lleida– propose cette
réflexion à partir de l’observation des spectateurs de FiraTàrrega dans les rues et places et élabore une carte des sons de
la ville. Une action performative massive et de grand format,
construite à partir de la réalisation d’un atelier de mouvement
et expression corporelle qui a eu lieu à Tàrrega l’été dernier
avec des personnes sans relation avec le monde des acteurs.

An adaptation for adult audiences in the street of Herman Melville’s work based on a
proposal originally conceived for the theatre. The show begins with a liturgy in memory
of Ahab, the captain of the whaler Pequod. From here, and through flashbacks, we
enter a terrible story of obsession and revenge: the hunt for Moby Dick, the great white
whale. A representation of man’s urge to control the irrational forces. A metaphor for
the devastating sense of our existence.
Adaptation de rue pour un public adulte de l’oeuvre de Herman Melville à partir d’une proposition
conçue, au départ pour le théâtre. Le spectacle part d’une liturgie en mémoire d’Ahab, le capitaine
du vaisseau baleinier Pequod. À partir de là, à travers des flashbacks, on pénètre dans une terrible
histoire d’obsession et de vengeance: la chasse à Moby Dick, la grande baleine blanche. Une représentation de la véhémence de l ‘homme dans le contrôle des forces irrationnelles. Une métaphore

theatrical experience that takes place in a boxing ring
where the audience and actors share the same space and
multiple stage languages. Jordi Aspa and Piero Steiner
(Los Los) go face to face about education, religion, death,
food. A comic, dramatic, poetic and corporal journey
by two visionaries who talk to us about life, fear and
triumphs. A fight between strength and common sense.

Pantalla botànica
A permanent large-scale installation combining robotics and gardening and that aims
to transform a public place. The star of the show is a robot in the shape of a giant insect
that moves around in a marked-out space in the Cal Trepat Factory-Museum and changes
it by planting some coloured discos that contain seeds. The result is an intervention in
the urban landscape, creating a garden, a participative work in progress, where the
audience feed the robot or work to make the coloured discs that will culminate when
the seeds sprout. It is, all together, a homage to the workers in Cal Trepat, the real
heroes of the first mechanisation of the land in Catalonia. With the collaboration of La
Panera Art Centre and landscaping and botanic assessment from the Blue Museum in
Barcelona. CREATION LABORATORY 2012.
Installation permanente de grand format qui associe robotique et jardinage et qui prétend à la
transformation d’un espace public. Le protagoniste du spectacle est un robot en forme d’insecte
géant qui parcourt un espace limité à l’intérieur de l’enceinte de l’Usine-Musée de Cal Trépat et le
modifie en plantant des disques de couleurs qui contiennent des semences végétales. Le résultat en
est une intervention sur le paysage urbain avec la création d’une zone verte, un work in progress
participatif où le public alimente le robot ou contribue à la création des disques de couleurs et
qui aura son plein essor lorsque les semences germeront. Ce sera en fin de compte, un hommage
aux employés de l’usine Trépat, vrais protagonistes de la première mécanisation de la campagne
catalane. Avec la collaboration du Centre d’Art La Panera et avec les conseils paysagistiques et

An itinerant poetic and musical performance, dedicated to the works, universe and city
of birth of the great Portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa. The writer and his 10 literary
heteronyms set off on a choreographic journey around the city, through the streets and
its most special corners on their bicycles. The characters perform fados and other dances
to evoke the atmosphere of the old Portuguese capital. A proposal that becomes a very
special discovery and turns the town into an imaginary, literary and timeless Lisbon.
Représentation poétique et musicale itinérante, dédiée à l’oeuvre, à l’univers et à la ville natale du
grand poète portugais Fernando Pessoa. L’écrivain et ses 10 hétéronomes littéraires entreprennent
un voyage chorégraphique à travers la ville, en parcourant ses rues et ses petits coins, montés sur
leurs bicyclettes. Les personnages évoquent l’atmosphère de la capitale portugaise ancienne en
interprétant des fados et autres danses. Une proposition qui devient une découverte très particulière et qui transforme la ville en une Lisbonne imaginaire, littéraire et intemporelle.

A very talented young formation specialised in parkour, a discipline that consists of
moving around an urban or natural environment, getting over obstacles in your path
(fences, walls, empty spaces...) as fluidly as possible, and only using your own body. With
an excellent state of fitness and incredible acrobatic power, GUP have participated in many
international exhibitions and some of the members have been chosen for the world’s
most important event in this speciality: the Red Bull Art of Motion. A very technical show,
full of risk and emotion, that will leave you with your mouth hanging open.

A show about the relationship between power, politics
and the media. How the media create the official truths,
how they manipulate the data, how their reports are
written, how smokescreens are created to safeguard the
interests of the powerful. A theatrical experiment that
reveals the workings of the leading media to show that
we are swamped with disinformation. The news is the
protagonist of this proposal that Hortzmuga take out on
the street, to the midst of the agora, to check their thesis
with the most authentic public opinion.

MULTIDISCIPLINARY
A company that came into being in 2011 from the
merging of creators from different disciplines (painting,
music, video and the performing arts) who wanted
to experiment with the artistic interaction in the
production of multidisciplinary spectacles. La Caputxeta
Galàctica is a spectacular multimedia show that exploits
the simultaneity of a range of expressions to offer an
approach to the popular tale of Little Red Riding-Hood
for an adult audience that goes beyond the version
popularised by the brothers Grimm. A proposal loaded
with symbologies, which is really a metaphor for a
journey of initiation and personal discoveries.

avec l’envie d’expérimenter l’interaction artistique dans la production de spectacles multidisciplinaires. La Caputxeta Galàctica

INSTALLATION
Artist, writer, editor, theatrical producer, stage designer
and teacher, Portillo has spent years collecting and
telling stories. He presents two installations that move
between contemporary art and theatre. The first is
a circular wooden structure that holds objects, texts,
musical scores, drawings and unpublished manuscripts,
many found in bins in various European cities and tied up
with strings. A container of stories and narrative signs.
The second is the Archive of Emotional Gestures supplied
by anonymous people, which hide carefully catalogued
fragments of unknown lives and that encourages an
open dialogue with spectators of all ages. A stage and
narrative installation based on the book Moi, j’attends,
and winner of the 2010 Lleida Stage Projects Award. Two
unusual proposals for curious spectators.
Artiste plastique, écrivain, producteur théâtral, metteur en
scène et pédagogue, il y a longtemps que Portillo recueille et
explique des histoires. Il nous présente deux installations qui
transitent entre l’art contemporain et le théâtre. La première
est une structure circulaire en bois dans laquelle se cachent des
objets, des textes, des partitions, des dessins et des manuscrits
inédits, beaucoup trouvés dans des corbeilles à papier de diverses villes européennes et reliés par des ficelles et des noeuds.
Un conteneur d’histoires et de signes narratifs. La seconde sont
des Archives de Gestes Émotionnels, apportés apportés par des
personnes anonymes, qui cachent des fragments de vie correctement catalogués et qui invitent à établir un dialogue avec des
spectateurs de tous les âges. Une installation scénique et narrative dont la base est le livre Moi j’attends et qui a reçu le Prix de
Projets Scéniques Lleida 2010. Deux propositions insolites pour
spectateurs curieux.

will be more present in Tàrrega as a scenographer
(creator of narrative spaces), narrator and
schoolteacher. All my work is steeped in the legacy
of those teaching years.
Your presence at FiraTàrrega is customary, especially
as a technician for the City Council of Benicàssim.
Now you have to experience the fair from another
aspect. What differences do you expect to find?
Confronting something that I just never have gotten
used to. One reason that I never wanted to dedicate
myself exclusively to art was “depending on the eyes
of others”. Depending economically on creating
something was always going against a rhythm and a
process that I need to get “nowhere”.
Interview with José Antonio Portillo
What José Antonio Portillo (Lerma, 1959) does is difficult to classify. Sculptor, writer, editor, theatre producer, scenographer and teacher, Portillo has spent
years collecting and telling stories. His presence as
a programmer in FiraTàrrega is customary, but this
year he is appearing as an artist, with two shows under his belt.
Sculptor, programmer, scenographer... In what role
are you coming to FiraTàrrega?
My body cannot isolate the fragments. I am a little
puzzle in which all parts live in. It is true that I

This show is outside the town. After showing their tickets, the
spectators will be taken by bus to El Talladell from where they
will have to take a short walk. The total length of the show
includes the travel times to and from the venue. Seats are not

Visual arts and performing arts in one dish. How are
the ingredients mixed?
I always need to visualize and materialize a space to
inhabit my stories. Then came people in the world
of the performing arts who thought my work and
universe could also be adapted to their habitat. That
is how various projects emerged, such as “Artefactes”
and “Museu del Temps”, performances produced by
the Albena Teatre and Tanttaka Teatroa.
How did this hobby for collecting begin, the
museum-like work with intimacy and emotional
landscapes that you are exhibiting?

Les sessions matinales sont adaptées à un public enfantin. Les sessions
enfantines et celles qui se déroulent en Anglais ont une durée de
90’. Ce spectacle a lieu hors de la ville. Sous présentation du tiquet
d’entrée les spectateurs seront conduits au Taladell en autobus où ils
devront faire un petit bout de chemin à pied. La durée totale inclut
les déplacements d’aller et retour en plus du spectacle. Les sièges ne
sont pas garantis.

If collecting means the activity of collecting on
shelves the works carried out in workshops with
children in Europe; if collecting means picking up
balls of paper found in bins... then I do have this
hobby. There is never a specific moment when
something begins, but I can say that my most intense
period of collecting objects was when I worked as a
schoolteacher.
What did it mean for you to win the Lleida Stage
Project Awards in 2010?
To receive the award and start the project “Arxiu
de gestos emocionals” was to again experience the
sensations from 2001 when the Belem Cultural Centre
(Lisboa) and Teatralia gave me the opportunity to
take on various building projects without the need
to create a cultural product. To feel once again
that what is most important is the work process
without the need to end in a “thing” that could be
sold at arts fairs. Such projects allow you to work
without fear of fitting in or not into the patterns
of theatrical exhibition. If spaces are found where
it can be displayed, fine, and if not, the process will
be beneficial. I know that it may seem frivolous at
times, but these work platforms emerged in good
times when people were busy, taking full advantage
of the productions. We must not forget that these
awards or institutions seek to create a solid basis for
reflection and creation.

we are immersed in because of the economic crisis. A

Compagnie valencienne ayant 37 ans de présence dans le panorama théâtral et ayant produit 30 spectacles pendant cette
période. Spectacle d’auto-aide collective pendant lequel deux
acteurs appliquent une piqûre d’euphorie aux spectateurs afin
de pallier la dépression dans laquelle ils sont immergés à cause
de la crise économique. Une session thérapeutique pendant laquelle les protagonistes échangent avec le public avec humour

After the grandeur of the inaugural show at FiraTàrrega 2012, Los Galindos are back with
an intimate and poetic proposal for audiences of all ages which links us to an ancestral
world and invites us to share the shocks, feats and laughter of the circus. Visceral circus,
that invites introspection, based on the personal and artistic experience of the eccentric
clown, juggler, trapeze artist and acrobat and his family roots as a baker. A circular spectacle that takes us back to the roots and calls for intergenerational respect and the individual’s possibilities. A place to play, which tells a tale without a story and kicks up the dust
on the road to stimulate the travellers’ memory.

Dancer, choreographer and creator with a long career,
Marta Carrasco begins this project with a reflection about

Trossos is a camp and a crossroads, fragments of memory,
records and chance events. A montage that talks about
xenophobia from a contemporary viewpoint. Street
theatre that aims to get close to the people to raise
some questions: what a home is, what a nation is, where
we are from… A show where the spectators choose and
find four possible paths, with stories that allow them
to know the universes of their inhabitants intimately.
Project selected for the 2012 Creation Laboratories,
a co-production with the Centre d’Arts Escèniques in
Terrassa (CAET).
Trossos est un campement et un carrefour, de morceaux de mémoire, de souvenirs et de hasards. Un montage qui parle de la
xénophobie en partant d’une optique contemporaine. Théâtre
de rue qui souhaite se rapprocher des gens pour leur poser
quelques questions: qu’est-ce qu’un foyer, qu’est-ce qu’une
nation, d’où sommes-nous...? Un spectacle où le spectateur
choisi et se trouve face à quatre chemins possibles, avec des
histoires qui lui permettront de connaître de près les univers de

From the way these animals face each other –lowering

The Parking Shakespeare company is back in Tàrrega to offer us an informal way of
approaching the work of the English playwright in the open air without a set, backdrop
or focus. On this occasion, one of his early comedies, Love’s Labour’s Lost, a satire against
the affectation and ridiculousness of people who believe themselves to gent at the
heights of civility. A text that seems to have been the embryo for A Midsummer Night’s
Dream that the company presented to the FiraTàrrega audience in 2011.
La compagnie Parking Shakespeare revient à Tàrrega pour nous offrir sa propre vision de l’oeuvre
du grand dramaturge anglais, à l’air libre, sans coulisses ni décors ou projecteur. À cette occasion, il
s’agit de l’une de ses premières comédies, Peines d’amour perdues, une satyre contre l’affectation
et le ridicule des gens qui croient s’être placés au sommet de la civilité. Un texte qui, semble-t-il,
fut l’embryon du Songe d’une nuit d’été que la compagnie avait présenté au public de FiraTàrrega
en 2011.

The choreographer and dancer Pere Faura was trained in the Netherlands and currently
collaborates with La Caldera and the Mercat de les Flors. With this street performance
he reclaims an impossible ideal, beyond demonstrations and noisy protest: the creation
of the world of dance. A physical, specific and personal execution of the score of an
unthinkable but imaginable world. A fictional universe where everything is built around
the logic of dance and where every action is understood as a choreographic act.
Le chorégraphe et danseur Pere Faura s’est formé aux Pays-Bas et collabore actuellement avec La
Caldera et le Marché aux Fleurs. Avec ce spectacle de rue il fait une revendication scénique qui
réclame un impossible idéal, au-delà de la manifestation et de la potée: la création du monde de
la danse. Une exécution physique concrète et personnelle de la partition d’un monde impensable
mais imaginable. Un univers fictif où tout s’articule à travers la logique de la danse et où chaque

During the process of researching and constructing Dansa real ja!, Pere Faura conceived
the idea of a new piece based on improvisation from the contents taken from a radio in
real time. An exercise that combines different stage techniques with a range of musical
typologies, discursive or entertainment elements. A work designed to be performed in
the street and that the audiences at FiraTàrrega have the privilege of tasting for the
first time.
Pendant le processus de recherche et de construction de son spectacle Dansa real ja!, Pere Faura
conçut l’idée d’une nouvelle pièce fondée sur l’improvisation à partir de contenus recueillis en
temps réel par un reproducteur de radio. Un exercice qui mêle différentes techniques scéniques et
différentes typologies musicales, des éléments dicursifs ou de divertissement. Un travail performatif conçu pour une représentation de rue et que le public de FiraTàrrega a le privilège de goûter

each of their works is an innovative exercise in staging, combining languages and opening
lines of communication with the audience. The spectators of FiraTàrrega will remember

La mirada interior, they connect the audience to earphones in a circle round the dancers
who they interact with. Everything is silent outside. Inside, a private sound environment
that gives meaning to the dance. An active audience that creates and enjoys its own show.
Producciones Imperdibles peut se vanter d’avoir sa propre marque dans le monde de la danse car
dans chaque travail elle fait un exercice de mise en scène innovateur en fusionnant des langages et
en ouvrant des voies de communication avec le spectateur. Les spectareurs de FiraTàrrega se souviendront de spectacles comme Mirando al Cielo ou Caleidoscopio qui causèrent sensation en leur
temps. Maintenant, avec La mirada interior la compagnie connecte le public à des casques auriculaires autour d’un cercle qui est au même niveau que les danseurs avec lesquels ils partagent le jeu.
À l’extérieur, tout est silencieux. Dedans, un espace sonore privé qui donne du sens à la danse. Un

With contemporary dance training in The Netherlands, Roser López
Espinosa is one of our country’s most promising young choreographers
according to the dance magazine Susy-Q. With international awards for
various pieces, she has colaborated as a dancer with Àngels Margarit,
Cesc Gelabert, the film director Isaki Lacuesta, Iago Pericot and Marta
Reig Torres, among others. This 20-minute piece presents a game of
complicity that seeks to go out of balance, the escapes and shared
architectures, to see how far we can go before we fall.

Formée dans la danse contemporaine aux Pays Bas, Roser López Espinosa est l’une
des jeunes chorégraphes les plus prometteuses de notre pays d’après la revue de
danse Susy-Q. Avec différents morceaux internationalement récompensés, elle a
collaboré en tant que danseuse, avec Àngels Margarit, Cesc Gelabert, le cinéaste
Isaki Lacuesta, Iago Pericot et Marta Reig Torres entre autres. Dans ce morceau
de 20 minutes elle nous présente un jeu de complicités qui est une recherche de
la perte d’équilibre, rasant le sol, mesurant la limite qu’elle peut atteindre avant
de tomber. Balancements, fugues rapides et architectures partagées. Tactiques et
jeux qui mènent à la chute en prenant le vol avant de toucher le sol.

VERTICAL DANCE
Vertical and aerial dance company that brings together theatre, dance, circus, music,
video and poetry. Their first show (Aire, sueños de un compositor) was premiered at
the 2006 Interferències festival in Barcelona and they have collaborated on various
productions by La Fura dels Baus and Comediants. The two parts of Las Aventuras de Sacu
y Mica are aerial dance pieces that won prizes at the Burgos - New York International
Choreographic Event in 2009 and 2011.
Compagnie de danse verticale et aérienne qui fusionne le théâtre, la danse, le cirque, la musique,
la vidéo et la poésie. La première de son premier spectacle (Aire, sueños de un compositor) eut lieu
en 2006 au festival Interferències de Barcelone et elle a collaboré à diverses productions de la Fura
dels Baus et de Comediants. Les deux parties qui composent Las aventuras de Sacu y Mica, sont

Schweigman& is a Dutch company led by Boukje Schweigman, a creator who
works with physical and visual theatre in search of the proximity and complicity
of the audience. Body language, movement, control of space, sensorial
sensations and accurate staging are the main ingredients of her productions,
which have received various awards. The inspiration behind Zweep was the
arts of chi-kung, kung fu and the use of the whip as an arm to develop a show
about vulnerability that combines strength and ritual with poetic sensitivity
and expressivity.

A short theatre-dance piece for public places that arose
from the Portes secretes project. A show about two
characters and a child pianist that tells the story of a
prisoner who never sees the sunlight. A metaphor of
dependence and adults’ fear of taking the bandages of
their eyes. In short, a tale about fear of freedom and in
favour of the innocence of children to learn to see the
world from a new outlook.
Courte pièce de théâtre-danse pour des espaces publics qui a
surgi du projet Portes secretes. Un spectacle autour de deux
personnages et un enfant pianiste qui raconte l’histoire d’une
prisonnière qui ne voit jamais la lumière du soleil. C’est une
métaphore de la dépendance et de la peur qu’ont les adultes à
s’ôter la bande des yeux. C’est en définitive le récit de la peur à
la liberté et une revendication de l’innocence des enfants afin
d’apprendre à voir la monde d’un autre oeil.

A Mexican artistic group who work to bring the relation
between the artist, the work and the spectator closer.
Intense dramatic dialogue right up to date that shows the
impediments and prejudices that the new generations
face in today’s world filled with oversized ambitions
and corruption. Two young people, from different social
origins and who have known each other since childhood,
talk about their greatest ambitions, through which they
show up intolerance, cultural confrontation and the
moral deterioration of society.

A circus cabaret from Sweden

A street circus cabaret with contemporary spectacles, featuring a selection of companies
linked to the circus creation centre Subtopia, presenting artists from Sweden, Catalonia,
Denmark, Finland, France and Spain. A Swedish proposal included in the project Nordic
Spotlight in Fira Tarrega 2012, conceived and designed especially for the Plaça dels Àlbers,
an intimate and special public place. Five artistic companies take part with acts from their
current performances: Ruby Rose with “Eat it”, Chipmunk Forge with “Phågel – The
best cat and bird show ever”, Sisters with “Clockwork”, Animal Religion with “Sounds
& Knots” and La Meute with “Balanscule” - all presented on a set by the Catalan stage
designer Jordi Queralt. A co-production between FiraTàrrega and Subtopia.
Cabaret de cirque de rue avec des spectacles contemporains auxquels participe une sélection de compagnies associées au centre de création Subtopia qui présente des artistes en provenance de Suède,

A group that works in unusual venues that allow very
close contact with the audience. They have performed in
private dining rooms or shop windows, but also on the
stage with a very successful adaptation of the text Fando
y Lis by Fernando Arrabal (nominated for the Premis Max
2012). The fictitious situation Que vaya bonito takes place
in a going-away party for a relative who has decided to
leave to seek his dream. A confrontation between family
links and the place we want in the world. An experience
in which the actors and audience share the same space,
between the intimacy of the cinema and the proximity
of street theatre.
Collectif qui travaille dans des espaces insolittes permettant un
contact très proche du public. Ils ont trava lectiu que treballa
en espais insòlits que permeten un contacte molt proper amb
el públic. Han actuat en menjadors de cases o en aparadors de
comerços, però també sobre els escenaris adaptant amb gran

dans le cadre d’une fête d’adieux à un parent qui décide de

In this physical theatre piece, four characters interact and
evolve thanks to the presence on the stage of a handcart,
which becomes a symbol of the joys and sadness of the
working class. An approach to street theatre by this
Korean company with a metaphorical portrait of the
struggles inherent in the competitive life. A proposal
that involves the audience and makes them participate
in the multiple possibilities of the stage play.
Dans cette pièce de théâtre physique quatre personnages
échangent et évoluent grâce à la présence sur scène d’un chariot qui s’érige en symbole des peines et des joies de la classe
ouvrière. Une approximation de cette compagnie coréenne au
théâtre de rue avec un portrait métaphorique des luttes que
comporte la vie compétitive. Une proposition où le public se
trouve impliqué et doit participer aux multiples possibilité du
jeu scénique.

De plaga cordis evokes contemplative attitudes. It
is a hybrid between music, visual and stage arts. An
experimental adventure that explores the relation
between man and his surroundings, linking the power
of human imagination –a source of discoveries and
inventions– with the landscape –the horizon and
immanent source of beauty and harmony, while showing
the ephemeral character of human presence. Included
in the TransAC-Meridians 2011-2013 European project
headed by FiraTàrrega.
De plaga cordis est une expérience qui évoque des attitudes
contemplatives. C’est un hybride entre la musique, les arts visuels
et les arts scéniques. Une aventure expérimentale qui explore la
relation entre l’homme et l’espace environnant tout en liant la
capacité génératrice de l’imagination humaine -source de découvertes et d’inventions- au paysage -horizon et source permanente
de beauté et d’harmonie-, au temps qui prouve le caractère

A show performed by two historical greats in the Iberian scene: Petra Martínez and
Juan Margallo. Two names with very long curricula who have made history not only in
the world of theatre but also cinema and television. From a text by Dario Fo and Franca
Rame, the actors perform a comedy that presents contact between two worlds and two
generations and that culminates with a very entertaining meta-theatrical exercise of
“theatre within the theatre”. Another chance to see the protagonists of Adosados from
FiraTàrrega 2008.
Spectacle interprété par deux des références historiques de la scène péninsulaire; Petra Martínez
et Juan Margallo. Deux noms au curriculum très étendu et qui ont fait l’histoire non seulement
du monde du théâtre mais aussi du cinéma et de la télévisison. En partant d’un texte de Dario Fo
et Franca Rame, les acteurs affrontent une comédie qui propose le contact entre deux monde et
deux générations et qui culmine avec un très amusant exercice métathéâtral de “théâtre dans le

A company that fuses circus with movement and dance. Their previous work Cayuco
was on the programme of FiraTàrrega 2010 and now they are back with a proposal
with a colourful stage set directed by Rosa Díaz, which evokes the world of human
relations and the difficulty that people have to agree to push together in the same
direction. Tenderness, risk and absurdity. A show designed as a child’s game that talks
about maturity and the opportunities life gives us to convert ourselves into persons.
Compagnie qui allie le cirque au mouvement et à la danse. Elle était présente à FiraTàrrega avec son
précédent travail, Cayuco, lors de la programmation 2010 et elle revient maintenant avec une proposition de grand impact scénographique et visuel dirigée par Rosa Díaz, et qui évoque le monde des
relations humaines et la difficulté qu’ont les gens à se mettre d’accord pour aller dans une même direction. Tendresse, risque et absurdité. Un spectacle présenté comme un jeu d’enfants qui nous parle
de la maturité et des occasions que nous offre la vie pour nous permettre de devenir des personnes.

The tsar has fallen ill and the remedy consists of finding
a happy man to put in his shirt. Zum-Zum Teatre invite
us to take part in one of humanity’s great adventures:
the search for happiness. A children’s show based on the
tale by Leon Tolstoy, that links the new technologies to
the purest theatrality to create a universe of suggestive
animated images, objects, music and situations.

Tàrrega plató obert: accions en curt
AUDIOVISUAL
Projection with three short fiction films produced in the Tàrrega Plató Obert course: actions in short that
have taken place this summer in Tàrrega organised by Audiovisuals without Frontiers. This eminently practical
training experience was aimed at actors and directors with prior professional experience with the aim of going
in depth into acting techniques applied to the cinema and directing actors. The action in the two shorts takes
place in the scenario of Tàrrega, converted into a great film set for the occasion.
Projection de trois court-métrages de fiction réalisés dans le cadre du cours Tàrrega Plató Obert: actions courtes qui ont eu
lieu à Tàrrega l’été dernier. Organisé par Audiovisuals sense Fronteres. Cette expérience formative, éminemment pratique,
s’adressait à des acteurs et directeurs ayant une expérience professionnelles et l’objectif était d’approfondir dans les techniques d’acteurs. Les deux court-métrages ont en commun que la villle de Tàrrega, transformée pour l’occasion en grand
plateau cinématographique, en est la scène.
