Switzerland to host the first ever Pro Drift Competition on a racetrack in 2016.
Swiss Drift Association is delighted to announce that the Lignières racetrack (NE) has
been set to host the first ever King of Europe ProSeries event in Switzerland, on the
13th and 14th of August!
The Swiss Drift Association is extremely honored that a world-renown drift series like
King of Europe is committed to offering new and expanded opportunities for drifting to
succeed on the Swiss scene and to inspire and bring more young people to choose this
motorsport.

The management of King of Europe Limited and Swiss Drift Association are looking

phenomenal global reach, this synergistic partnership will provide the widest exposure
and fantastic opportunities in the promotion of drifting in Switzerland.
Mike Procureur, King of Europe Managing Director, spoke positively about the addition
of a new country to the events calendar : « We are delighted to include Switzerland to
our calendar of events for 2016 onwards. SDA and King of Europe team have worked
incredibly hard to make this happen. »
King of Europe celebrates its 12th Season, establishing itself to large European
countries like United Kingdom, France, Spain, Italy and Austria, and is definitely by far
the widest and largest European professional drift series with 20+ international
European events in 2015.
Last but not least, with a remarkable reach of more than 165 million people over 110
countries by means of TV, more than 1 million fans in Social Media, more than
120.000 fans attending the events throughout last year, and a constant flow of preevent and post-event media, including viral videos and large scale photo galleries,
King of Europe has grown immensely from just an idea, to a professional, worldrenown drift series.

La Suisse accueillera en 2016 la première compétition de Drift professionnelle sur
circuit de son histoire.
La Swiss Drift Association a le plaisir d’annoncer que le circuit de Lignières(NE) a été
choisi pour accueillir une manche du King of Europe ProSeries, les 13 et 14 août
prochains. Une première historique en Suisse!
La Swiss Drift Association est très honorée de collaborer avec un championnat Drift de
renommée mondiale tel que le King of Europe, qui s’investit pour offrir de nouvelles
opportunités à ce sport automobile de se développer sur la scène suisse, en inspirant
et poussant toujours plus de jeunes gens à le pratiquer.
« L’énorme soutien et confiance que nous accorde une entité comme King of Europe,
leader dans son domaine, envoie un message fort sur l’intérêt grandissant porté dans
notre pays au Drift en tant que sport automobile » explique Marin Morier, président de
la Swiss Drift Association.
L’équipe de King of Europe Limited et la Swiss Drift Association se réjouissent de
développer un partenariat fructueux qui s’inscrira dans la durée.
Compte tenu de la portée internationale de cette marque emblématique, cette
synergie va offrir une exposition massive et des opportunités fantastiques pour la
promotion du Drift en Suisse.
Mike Procureur, Directeur de King of Europe, accueille positivement l’intégration d’un
nouveau pays dans le calendrier de ses championnats: « Nous sommes ravis d’inclure

King of Europe fête sa 12ème saison. S’établissant dans une grand partie de l’Europe
(Angleterre, France, Espagne, Italie, Autriche…), il s’agit définitivement, et de loin, du
plus grand championnat européen professionnel de Drift (avec plus de 20 évènements
en Europe en 2015).
Pouvant compter sur une audience incroyable de plus de 165 millions de personnes à
travers 110 pays via un programme télévisé, plus d’un million de fans sur les réseaux
sociaux, et plus de 120’000 personnes ayant assisté aux évènements l’année dernière,
un flot constant de support media pré- et post- évènement, incluant des vidéos
populaires tout comme des galeries de photos copieusement fournies, King of Europe
a énormément évolué du statut de concept à celui de championnat de drift

Die Schweiz ist 2016 erstmals mit eigener Strecke Gastgeber eines Pro Drift
Wettbewerbs.
Die Swiss Drift Association freut sich Ihnen mitteilen zu dürfen, dass die Lignières
Rennstrecke zum Austragungsort des ersten King of Europe Pro Series Events, am
13.+14. August, in der Schweiz auserwählt wurde.
Die Swiss Drift Association fühlt sich geehrt, dass eine weltbekannte Drift Serie neue
und erweiterte Möglichkeiten bietet und somit den Sport in der Schweizer Szene
fördert indem sie mehr junge Leute inspiriert mit dem Driften anzufangen.
