The reception is open 24 hours.
Upon arrival in Oxford it is best if you head directly to the accommodation in the WRM. The
WRM is located just beyond Magdalen roundabout in the Cowley area. The WRM can be
reached via foot, taxi or bus. Please note that breakfast will be served at St. Edmund Hall
(SEH) and not at the WRM (see map).
Arriving in Oxford by train
If you arrive by train, take the buses of the Oxford Bus Company, either No.4 (leaves the train
station from stop no. R7 – see map) or No.5 (leaves the station from stops R2 and R7 – see
map). The bus stops are marked on the accompanying map. Further information on local
buses in Oxford can be found at http://www.oxfordbus.co.uk and http://stagecoachbus.com.
To reach WRM, get off the bus at Original Swan PH or Circus Street on Cowley Road. If you
are approaching WRM from Cowley Road, look for the bars Kazbar and Café Coco, which
are located on the corner between Cowley Road and Dawson Street.
As bus stops are not announced on Oxford buses, you can ask the bus driver where to get off
and they may announce the stop. The best thing to do is to ring the bell on the bus when you
pass Magdalen College Tower (see image below) onto Magdalen Bridge over the river.
Arriving in Oxford by coach
You can take a direct coach to Oxford from London Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted. For
more information on coaches from Heathrow and Gatwick, see www.theairline.info, and
www.nationalexpress.com for coaches from Stansted. The nearest stop to WRM for all these
coaches is St Clement’s. The coach stops will generally be announced by the driver.
If you are coming to Oxford directly from London with the Oxford Express (X90) or the
Oxford Tube, then you will also have to get off the coach at St Clement’s. Information about
these buses can be found at http://x90.oxfordbus.co.uk and http://www.oxfordtube.com. It is
often cheaper and more practical to take these buses – as opposed to the train – as they are
less costly and the stops are very central in the city (in the case of WRM, it is in the Cowley
area).
When you reach St Clement’s, you will be in the immediate proximity of Dawson Street.
Taxis
If you prefer to take a taxi from your stop or the station, you can order a taxi using the number

cost of the taxi fare from the station to WRM should be under £10.

Nach Ihrer Ankunft in Oxford gehen Sie am besten direkt zur Unterkunft im WRM. Die
Unterkunft befindet sich im Stadtteil Cowley. Je nachdem, mit welchem Transportmittel Sie
ankommen, können Sie die Unterkunft zu Fuß, per Taxi oder Stadtbus erreichen. Bitte
beachten Sie, dass das Frühstück in St. Edmund Hall (SEH) für Sie bereit steht und nicht im
WRM (siehe Karte).
Ankunft in Oxford mit dem Zug
Wenn Sie mit dem Zug ankommen, nehmen Sie die Busse der Oxford Bus Company mit
Nummer 4 (verlässt den Bahnhof von R7 – siehe Karte) oder der Nummer 5 (verlässt den
Bahnhof von R2 und R7 – siehe Karte). Die Bushaltestellen sind auf der mitgegebenen Karte

Steigen Sie bei Original Swan PH oder Circus Street auf der Cowley Road aus. Wenn Sie das
WRM von der Cowley Road aus erreichen wollen, so können Sie sich an den Bars Kazbar
und Café Coco orientieren. Zwischen diesen liegt die Dawson Street.
Wichtig: Es ist nicht üblich in britischen Stadtbussen (im Gegensatz zu Fernbussen) die
Haltestellen im Voraus anzukündigen. Geben Sie dem Busfahrer Bescheid, wie Sie
aussteigen möchten oder drücken Sie die Klingel im Bus, sobald Sie Magdalen Tower
(ausgesprochen [mo:dlæn]) sehen.
Ankunft in Oxford von London per Fernbus (Coach)
Von den Flughäfen Heathrow, Gatwick oder Stansted können Sie einen direkten Bus nach
Oxford nehmen. Besuchen Sie hier die Webseiten <www.theairline.info> für Heathrow und
Gatwick und < http://www.nationalexpress.com> für Stansted. Ihre Haltestelle ist in allen
Fällen St. Clements. Die Haltepunkte werden idR angesagt.
Falls Sie mit dem Oxford Express (X90) oder der Oxford Tube direkt von London kommen,
dann steigen Sie ebenfalls bei St. Clements aus. Informationen zu diesen Bussen finden Sie
unter < http://x90.oxfordbus.co.uk/> und < http://www.oxfordtube.com/>. Es ist oft günstiger
und praktischer, diese Busse zu nehmen (im Gegensatz zum Zug), da sie preisgünstiger sind
und die Bushaltestellen an Knotenpunkten der Stadt liegen (in Ihrem Fall St. Clements im
Stadtteil Cowley).
Sie befinden sich mit St. Clements in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Dawson Street.
