Jobst-Hubertus advises on collective and
individual employment law, in particular on
negotiations with works councils and unions.
Another focus of his practice is advising supervisory
and management boards on the conclusion,
performance and termination of service contracts
with top-level executives.
Jobst-Hubertus studied at the University of
Freiburg. He was a partner at Gleiss Lutz from 1980
to 2014, and has been Of Counsel since January
2015.
He is a certified labour law attorney and an
honorary professor at the University of Tübingen.
Jobst-Hubertus is the co-editor of the Neue
Zeitschrift für Arbeitsrecht (New Journal on Labour
Law), Arbeitsrechtliche Praxis (Labour Law
Practice) and the Zeitschrift ArbR Arbeitsrecht
Aktuell (Journal on Current Developments in Labour
Law). He is also the editor of the beck-online
Fachdienst Arbeitsrecht (beck-online special service
employment). Furthermore he is on the academic
advisory
board
of
the
Zeitschrift
Recht/Automobil/Wirtschaft (RAW) and managing
director/in-house
counsel
for
employers’
associations.
Jobst-Hubertus was the chairman of the
executive committee of the Employment Lawyers’
Group in the German Lawyers Association (DAV)
from 2000 until 2013. He is a member of the DAV
Employment Law Legislative Committee, the
managing committee of the German Labour Court
Association, and the labour law committee of the
Federation of German Employers’ Associations. He
was both a founder and longstanding board member
of the European Employment Lawyers Association
(EELA), to which he still belongs.
Jobst-Hubertus speaks German, English and
French.
