Driving directions from Fiumicino Airport:
When you leave Fiumicino Airport follow the signs towards Firenze, you will have to join the Rome
ring road “Grande Raccordo Anulare” for about 30 km. Once on the ring road - follow the exit to
Firenze (A1), the exit can sometimes be quite busy as there is a road joining the ring road just
before the Firenze exit.
There are two different options to get to the house. One is slightly faster and one is a bit more
scenic.
• The fastest option: Continue on A1 from Rome (towards Firenze) up to Monte S. Savino
(about 160 km from Rome). Exit at Monte S. Savino and follow the signs towards Arezzo
(road E78) after you have paid the road toll
• Once you reach the outskirts of Arezzo you should follow the signs towards
Sansepolcro (SS73)
• About one kilometer after you have passed the little village “Le Ville” you will pass
exits towards “Citerna” and “Monterchi” on your right hand side, just 100 meters
later you will have to turn left towards “Catgliano” / “Tortigliano” (The sign posts
are sometimes littered with different village names so it can be difficult to read
them all in time)
• This country road will end at a T-junction, turn right towards Tortigliano
• After a couple of hundred meters you will come to a junction, turn left towards
Tortigliano (on to the road that have garbage bins to the left (those are the closest
bins to the house))
• Continue on the road for about one kilometer, until you see a brown sign with
“Tortigliano” pointing to go up a steep road. Turn left before the brown sign, on to
the sand road and continue this road up for about 50 meters and you will get to the
gate of the house
Wegbeschreibung ab Flughafen Fiumicino
Nach Abfahrt vom Flughafen Fiumicino folgen Sie der Beschilderung nach Florenz. Fahren Sie etwa
30 km weit auf der Ringstraße „Grande Raccordo Anulare“ in Rom. Auf der Ringstraße folgen Sie
dem Ausfahrtsschild nach Florenz (A1), die Ausfahrt ist manchmal sehr befahren, da kurz vor der
Ausfahrt in Richtung Florenz eine weitere Straße in die Ringstraße mündet.
Es gibt nun 2 Möglichkeiten, das Haus zu erreichen. Eine Strecke ist ein wenig kürzer, die andere ist
landschaftlich etwas schöner.



Die schnellere Variante: Bleiben Sie auf der A1 ab Rom (in Richtung Florenz) bis Monte
S. Savino (circa 160 km von Rom). Nehmen Sie die Ausfahrt Monte S. Savino und folgen
Sie, nachdem Sie die Maut bezahlt haben, der Beschilderung nach Arezzo (Straße E78).
Sobald Sie den Außenbezirk von Arezzo erreichen, folgen Sie der Beschilderung nach
Sansepolcro (Straße SS73).
Etwa einen Kilometer nachdem Sie am kleinen Dorf „Le Ville“ vorbeigefahren sind,
sehen Sie rechts die Ausfahrten nach “Citerna” und “Monterchi”, 100 m weiter biegen


Sie nach links in Richtung “Catigliano” / “Tortigliano” ab. (Auf den Straßenschildern
stehen oft so viele verschiedene Namen von Dörfern, das es schwierig ist, sie alle
rechtzeitig zu lesen).
Die Landstraße endet an einer T-Kreuzung, fahren Sie links in Richtung Tortigliano.
Nach einigen hundert Metern kommen Sie an eine Kreuzung, dort biegen Sie nach links
ab, wieder in Richtung Tortigliano (auf die Straße mit den Abfallcontainern auf der
linken Seite, das sind auch die Container, die am nächsten zum Haus liegen).
