En 1577, Pic Saint Loup, gran modisto venido a menos, recibe una
misión diplomática del rey Enrique III: confeccionarle un traje de
ceremonia de inigualable belleza para la boda concertada de uno
de sus sobrinos con la hija de un Grande de España. Así es como
Saint Loup (un tanto afeminado) se pone en camino, rumbo a esa
España católica integrista que persigue sin tregua a protestantes,
moros, judíos y homosexuales. Pero lo que ignora es que le
acompaña un protestante, su fiel secretario, dispuesto a llevar
escondida entre sus ropajes una bomba con la que vengar a sus
correligionarios de la matanza de San Bartolomé. Y con ellos, su
“negro” que tendrá que disfrazar de rubio, su perfumista, su
“nariz”, un judío marrano y su peluquero, una loca perdida. Todas
esas personas no gratas llegan a casa del padre de la novia, un
loco malvado que resulta ser nada menos que el Gran Inquisidor
de Sevilla... Pic Saint Loup, que ha dedicado toda su vida a volver
de color de rosa las vidas que no lo eran, se ve arrojado en el más
negro abismo de los enajenados del Dios de la Inquisición. Es lo
que se suele llamar meterse en la boca del lobo....

ceremonial gown for the arranged marriage of one the king's nephews
with the daughter of a Grandee of Spain. In fundamentalist Catholic
Spain, which hunts down Protestants, Moors, Jews and homosexuals,
Saint Loup (not exactly straight) sets out on the road surrounded by his
staff. What he doesn't know is that he is leaving with a Protestant, his
loyal secretary, who is determined to hide a bomb in the gown to
avenge his people for the bloody Saint Bartholomew's Day massacre.
He is also leaving with a Moor, who must be transformed into a blond
Norman, his perfumer, his "nose," a converted Jew, along with his
hairdresser, a raging queen. This merry "persona non grata" band end
up at the house of the bride’s father, a deranged person of the worst
sort, who is none other than the Great Inquisitor of Seville. Pic Saint
Loup, who has dedicated his life to putting a bit of gaiety into an
existence that is hardly that, finds himself thrown into the darkness of
the Inquisition. It's what is called sticking one's head into the lion's
mouth.
En 1577, PIC SAINT LOUP, grand couturier sur le déclin, se voit
confier par le roi Henri III, une mission diplomatique : il doit
confectionner sa plus belle robe de cérémonie pour le mariage arrangé
d'un de ses neveux avec la fille d'un Grand d'Espagne. Dans une
Espagne catholique intégriste qui traque protestants, maures, juifs et
homosexuels, SAINT LOUP (fort peu hétéro) va se mettre en chemin
entouré de ses gens. Ce qu'il ignore, c'est qu'il part avec un protestant,
son fidèle secrétaire, bien décidé à cacher une bombe dans la robe
pour venger les siens de la sanglante Saint Barthélémy. Il part
également avec son un maure qu'il doit transformer en blond normand,
avec son parfumeur, son un juif marrane ainsi que son coiffeur, une
folle perdue. Tout ce joli monde va se retrouver chez le père de la
fiancée, un détraqué de la pire espèce, qui n'est autre que le grand
inquisiteur de Séville... PIC SAINT LOUP qui a voué sa vie à mettre un
peu de rose sur l'existence qui ne l'est guère, va se retrouver projeté
dans le noir le plus profond des fous de Dieu de l'inquisition. C'est ce
qu'on appelle se jeter dans gueule du loup...
