A little word about me and what I do:
Un petit mot à mon sujet et ce que je fais :
I have worked in a variety of settings over my career as a Marriage &
Family Therapist and have gained a unique perspective and toolbox that I
use in my private practice Kindred Counseling & Workshops. I currently see
individuals, couples, and families as well, offer Bringing Baby Home
Workshops. I have been privileged to work at the Internationally known
rehabilitation facility The Meadows in which I gained a great knowledge of
childhood trauma and addictions; a wilderness adolescent treatment program
ANASAZI Foundation where I learned that nature can heal the soul, the
heart and our relationships; as well as non-profit conselling and private
practice in both Canada and the US. I am a Certified Gottman Educator for
Bringing Baby Home Workshops. BBH was developed by Dr's John & Julie
Gottman and designed for both pregnant and new parents to teach skills and
provide information to recognize and cope successfully with the normal
stressors of becoming a family. All of these settings were and are a blessing
because the clients who have walked through my door allowed me the
privilege of being a part of their journey. Something as a therapist I regard as
sacred and special. I had a mentor once who told me, "People don't care
what you know unless they know how much you care." His words have
stuck with me over the years and are the foundation of my practice.
What does CCPA mean to me?

When I think of CCPA, I think of a village and the importance around
belonging and collaborating with likeminded individuals. It gives each
counsellor a platform to stand on and to expand and excel in areas that
motivate and drive them.

I have been a member of CCPA since 2010 and recently became certified.
Favorite author or musical artist:
Mon auteur préféré ou artiste musical préféré :
My favorite author is Paulo Coelho particularly his book "The Alchemist." I
love all the lessons the book brings to the reader and how it highlights a
principle I take in my own therapeutic practice which is, "People are
capable, at any time in their lives, of doing what they dream of."
