MITZI LUNDBERG, soprano, is a Tri-Cities native. A regular soloist with the Mid-Columbia Mastersingers’
Italian-8, she also performs regularly for special events around the region. Most recently, Mitzi performed
the role of Mimi in the Act I finale of La Bohème with the Mid-Columbia Symphony in their “Songs of Love
and War” concert in May 2013. Opera credits include the role of First Lady in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte with
the Yakima Valley Opera Company in August 2012.

In addition to solo opportunities, Mitzi also sings with the Mid-Columbia Mastersingers and recently
completed a four-year term on the organization’s Board of Directors. She currently studies with voice
teacher, Reginald Unterseher, of Kennewick, Washington.

Mitzi attended Walla Walla University from 1989-1992 with a major in vocal music performance. She
previously studied at the Northwest Institute of Voice in Beaverton, Oregon under the direction of its
founder, Thomas R. Blaylock, beginning in 1985.

KIMBERLY D. ROBISON, mezzo soprano,
received a B.A. in music education with a
choral emphasis. She taught high school
choir for two years before taking a break
from the classroom to raise her children.
She has had a private voice studio for 12
years. Kim returned to public education
this fall, teaching general music for the
Pasco School District. Kim loves baking
and running. She and her husband Dave
reside in Pasco with their two children,
Brandon and Mia.

Production Manager
KARL E. HEDLUND, tenor and Oklahoma native, is an active performer, teacher, vocal coach and choral
conductor. He has sung a wide variety of roles from opera, operetta, oratorio and musical theater with such
companies as Fulton City Theater, Light Opera Oklahoma, Mid-Columbia Musical Theater, Oklahoma City
Lyric Theater, Opera in the Ozarks, Tulsa Opera and Yakima Opera. His solo performances include Bach’s
Christmas Oratorio, Handel’s Messiah, Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass, Hovhanness’ Magnificat, Mendelssohn’s Die
Geburt Christi, Mozart’s Vesperae Solennes, Orff ’s Carmina Burana, Schubert’s Mass in A-Flat Major and Mass in
G, Stainer’s Crucifixion and Vaughan Williams’ Four Hymns.
Mr. Hedlund’s credits on the opera stage include Ariadne auf Naxos, La Boheme, Carmen, Don Giovanni,
the United States premier of House of the Sun, Little Women, Orphée aux Enfers, Postcard from Morocco, Tales
of Hoffmann, Il Trovatore and Die Zauberflöte. He has also performed roles from many of the Gilbert and
Sullivan and musical theatre classics.
In the Pacific Northwest, Mr. Hedlund has enjoyed performing as a soloist with the Mid-Columbia
Mastersingers, Mid-Columbia Symphony and the Yakima Symphony Orchestra. Upcoming performances
include Jean Valjean in Mid-Columbia Musical Theater’s production of Les Misérables.
