THE RUFF PACK besteht aus Musikern, die die gleiche Leidenschaft für gute Musik teilen. Die Band mixt die Komplexität von
Improvisation und Komposition des Jazz mit dem erdigen,
rauen Groove und der frenetischen Energie des HipHop. Das
Aufeinanderprallen dieser musikalischen Welten ist besonders
in New York City möglich, der Geburtsstätte des Projekts.
THE RUFF PACK basieret auf der klassischen Jazz Gitarren Trio
Konstellation und bringt Instrumental HipHop auf ein neues
Level. Stephan Kondert und Matthias Löscher arbeiten seit 15 Jahren
in verschiedenen Projekten miteinander. Mit Daru Jones ( Slum
Village, Black Milk, Hi-Tek & Talib Kweli, Idle Warship, Kissey
Asplund, Reggie B, etc.) und Justin Brown ( Bilal, Kenny Garrett, Josh Roseman, Gerald Clayton Trio, Esperanza Spalding,
Vijay Iyer, etc.) waren die perfekten Besetzungen als Schlagzeuger für diese musikalische Vision gefunden.

THE RUFF PACK consists of 3 musicians who share the same
passion for good music. The Band blends and mixes the
improvisational and compositional complexity of Jazz and the
rustic groove and frenetic energy of HipHop. This clash of
cultures appears more prevalent in New York City, the home
base of THE RUFF PACK.
Based on the classic jazz guitar trio, THE RUFF PACK takes
instrumental HipHop to another level. Stephan Kondert and
