Andy Warhol Pittsburgh, USA. 1928 - Nueva York City, USA. 1987 Andy Warhol nació como Andrew Warhola en una familia de clase media-trabajadora que emigró de Eslovaquia. Estudió en el Carnegie Institute of Technology (hoy Carnegie Mellon University) donde se licenció en diseño gráfico. Después de una exitosa carrera como ilustrador publicitario en Nueva York, durante la década de los sesenta Warhol adquirió fama por su trabajo como pintor, grabador, cineasta y figura pública, conduciendo el movimiento artístico conocido como Pop Art. Apropiándose de imágenes de la cultura popular, Warhol creó muchas obras que permanecen como iconos del arte del siglo XX.
