Responsibility for technical and infrastructural FM services and for events
HOCHTIEF Facility Management GmbH is assuming responsibility for the operation of the
new stadium in Magdeburg as from December 1, 2006. The company has just signed an
agreement to this effect with the construction concession company Stadion Magdeburg
GmbH & Co. KG.
In the newly built stadium, which offers covered seating for 22,500 spectators and standing
room for a further 4,500, HOCHTIEF Facility Management will provide all technical and
infrastructural facility management services. It will thus ensure smooth, problem-free match
and practice conditions in the stadium, which is the home of soccer club 1. FC Magdeburg.
HOCHTIEF Facility Management will also handle event management for the new facility. In
addition to the soccer club‘s home games, the stadium will be a venue for concerts and
corporate events. The company is also responsible for marketing the right to the Magdeburg
stadium name.
