Profile
Ms Patricia N Day-Hookoomsing is the owner and Managing Director of Consultancy
Company Ltd (CCL), which is an independent private training firm offering training courses in
administrative and office skills, customer care, Business English, management and supervisory
skills. She is registered with the MQA as a trainer in the field of Human Resource Management
and Development, and Manager and Programme Officer for the CCL training centre.
Since joining CCL in 1989 she has acquired extensive experience in designing, setting up,
running and monitoring training programmes, both open and in-company, in customer service,
communication skills, supervisory techniques, training of trainers and Business English for all
sectors of the Mauritian economy. She is an English/French bilingual and speaks fluently
Mauritian Creole.
Her other activities include:

lecturer in English for Entrepreneur Studies (TEFL/ESP), Entrepreneurial Vision and
Human Resource Management for Entrepreneurs and academic tutor for student projects
for the Master in Entrepreneurship at the Institut de la Francophonie pour
l’Entrepreneuriat, Réduit, Mauritius

Management, University of Poitiers, France (distance learning mode) at the Mauritius

From January 2002 to December 2004, she served as Chairperson of the High-Level
Committee on Gender Responsive Budgeting of the Ministry of Women’s Rights, Child
Development and Family Welfare.
In November 2003, she was appointed to sit on the Human Resource Development Council as
representative of the private sector.
As President (2010-2011) of the Association Mauricienne des Femmes Chefs d’Entreprises
(AMFCE), she represents the AMFCE on the Council of the Mauritius Chamber of Commerce
and Industry (MCCI) and on the Council of the Mauritius Employers’ Federation (MEF).
