Im Oktober 2015 hat sich der KiKA in verschiedenen Sendungen – in Doku­
mentationen, Magazinen, Serien, Spielfilmen und Shows – mit dem Thema
„Kinderarmut in Deutschland“ beschäftigt. Im Rahmen dieses Themen­
schwerpunkts wurde auch DIE SENDUNG MIT DER MAUS-SPEZIAL ausgestrahlt.
Was braucht der Mensch wirklich zum Leben? – um diese Frage drehen
sich diesmal die Lach- und Sachgeschichten. Moderator Johannes Büchs
rechnet aus, wie viel Geld er selbst durchschnittlich pro Tag ausgibt, und
überlegt zusammen mit Schülern und Schülerinnen aus einem Kölner
Gymnasium, wo man sparen und auf welche Dinge man verzichten kann.
Außerdem erzählen Kinder, deren Familien von Armut betroffen sind, wie
sie damit zurechtkommen, wenn zu Hause der Strom abgestellt wird oder
die Klassenfahrt nicht bezahlt werden kann.
In October 2015 the KiKA concentrated on the subject of “Child poverty in
Germany” in various programmes – documentaries, magazine programmes,
series, feature films and shows. THE PROGRAMME WITH THE MOUSE
­SPECIAL was broadcast in the context of this focal theme.
What do people really need to live? – this time, the funny and factual stories
looked at this question. Presenter Johannes Büchs works out how much
money he himself spends on average each day, and discusses with pupils
from a secondary school in Cologne where it is possible to save and what
things we can perhaps do without. Children whose families are hit by poverty also talk about how they deal with things like the electricity being cut
off at home or not being able to afford the cost of a school trip.

Studierte Journalistik an der Universität Dortmund und war bis 1992 freiberuflicher Autor für verschiedene Fernsehredaktionen des WDR. 1992–1997
Redakteur und Reporter im ARD-MORGENMAGAZIN. Seit 1997 Redakteur
im Kinder- und Familienprogramm des
WDR und dort in erster Linie verantwortlich für die Sachgeschichten im Rahmen der SENDUNG MIT
DER MAUS. Darüber hinaus war Joachim Lachmuth in die Entwicklung mehrerer anderer Wissensformate für Kinder eingebunden. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt seiner Arbeit ist die redaktionelle
Entwicklung und Betreuung von Dokumentationen.
Betreute nach ihrem Volontariat in der
Fernsehfilmredaktion des WDR ein
Jahr lang als Redakteurin beim Digitalkanal Einsfestival Sendungen wie
NIGHTWASH und LANDSCHWÄRMER.
Seit 2014 gehört sie zum Redaktionsteam des WDR-Kinderprogramms und
verantwortet u.a. Lachgeschichten wie
SHAUN DAS SCHAF und TRUDES TIER in der SENDUNG MIT DER
MAUS sowie die Abenteuerserie ARMANS GEHEIMNIS.
Aufgewachsen in Speyer. Moderierte
während seines Informationswissen­
schaftsstudiums bereits beim Jugend­
radio des SR sowie des SWR. Später
war er dann als Fernsehreporter für
die Sendung DASDING.TV unterwegs.
Nach dem Studium Volontariat beim
NDR, seitdem als Autor für die Satiresendung EXTRA 3 tätig. Seit 2009 Moderator für NEUNEINHALB
und KANN ES JOHANNES? sowie Autor und Reporter für die SENDUNG MIT DER MAUS.
Studied journalism at the University of Dortmund. Until 1992
he was an independent author for various TV editorial offices at
WDR. From 1992-1997, editor and reporter for the ARD-MOR­
NING MAGAZINE. Since 1997, editor for WDR’s children’s and
family broadcasting, where he is primarily responsible for the
factual stories in the context of the PROGRAMME WITH THE
MOUSE. In addition, Joachim Lachmuth has been involved in the
development of several other information formats for children.
Another specialist field of his work is the editorial development
and supervision of documentaries.
After an internship in the editorial office of TV films at WDR, she
was editor responsible for programmes such as NIGHTWASH
and LANDSCHWÄRMER at the Digitalkanal Einsfestival for a
year. Since 2014 she has been part of the children’s broadcasting editorial team at WDR, where she is responsible, among
other things, for funny stories such as SHAUN THE SHEEP and
TRUDE’S ANIMAL in the PROGRAMME WITH THE MOUSE as well
as the adventure series ARMAN’S SECRET.
Grew up in Speyer. During his study of IT, he was already working as a presenter for SR and SWR youth radio. Later, he was
a roving TV reporter for the programme DASDING.TV. After completing his studies, he was an intern at NDR, and since then he
has worked as an author for the satirical programme EXTRA 3.
Since 2009, presenter of NINEANDAHALF and CAN JOHANNES
DO THAT? as well as being an author and reporter for the PROGRAMME WITH THE MOUSE.
