Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,
mit diesem Rundschreiben erhalten Sie Details zum Versand und zur Installation des Xetra Release 9.0 Simulations-Update Kit 3.
Das Simulations-Update Kit 3 beinhaltet keine Values-Änderungen. Es werden u.a. folgende Verbesserungen der Funktionalitäten ausgerollt:
•
Die Filterfunktionalität wurde in einigen Bereichen verbessert.
•
Anzeigeprobleme von Orders oder Quotes im Xetra J-Trader wurden behoben.
•
Im „Report Selection“-Fenster wurde die „Raw Report“-Anzeige durch „XML“ ersetzt.

Versand:
Am Freitag, dem 4. April 2008 erhalten Sie nach Handelsende die neue Frontend-Software für die
Simulationsumgebung. Die Übertragung findet per FTP auf Ihre Report-Knoten statt. Die Xetra Release 9.0 Simulationssoftware für Handelsteilnehmer, die WebAccess nutzen, ist ab Montag, 7.
April 2008 über die Java Web Start-Technologie verfügbar.
Die Transferverzeichnisse auf den Xetra Simulations-MISSes lauten wie folgt:
SUN Solaris 10:
Windows Server 2003:
/opt/gate/transferdir/release52
<ftp-root directory>\release52
Jeder Teilnehmer erhält die Simulations-Update Kits für SUN Solaris 10 und für Microsoft Windows.
Um einen reibungslosen Versand der Kits zu gewährleisten, beachten Sie bitte folgende Punkte:

Stellen Sie bitte sicher, dass auf jeder MISS in der Simulationsumgebung mindestens 30 MB
freie Speicherkapazität im Transferverzeichnis verfügbar ist.
•
Damit die Datenübertragung stattfinden kann, bitten wir Sie sicherzustellen, dass die ReportMISSes Ihrer Xetra-Simulationsumgebungen von Freitagagabend, 4. April 2008 bis Dienstagmorgen, 8. April 2008 ohne Unterbrechung erreichbar sind.
•
Bitte achten Sie ebenfalls darauf, dass die erforderlichen Schreib- und Leseberechtigungen
für Dateien und Ordner richtig gesetzt sind.

Der Versand der Kits wird überwacht und bei Übertragungsproblemen wird automatisch eine weitere Übertragung für den nächsten Tag veranlasst. Zusätzlich steht die Software ab dem 4. April
2008 zum Download auf der Website der EEX unter folgendem Pfad zur Verfügung:

Installation:
Bitte installieren Sie die Update Kits ab dem 7. April. Unterstützung wird ab Dienstag, 8. April 2008
nur noch für die aktuelle Softwareversion für die Xetra 9.0 Release Simulation erfolgen.
Details zur Installation können Sie den „Installation Notes“ (readme file) für das Xetra Release 9.0
Simulation Update Kit 3 entnehmen, die zusammen mit den Software Kits versandt werden.
Verteilung der WebAccess-Software über Java Web Start
An die WebAccess-Kunden werden alle Frontend-Software-Komponenten über die Web StartServer verteilt. Die Verteilung und Installation der Software wird automatisch ausgeführt. Über das

vorhandenen Applikationen wird der Download-Prozess initiiert. Die Xetra Release 9.0Simulationssoftware wird ab dem 7. April 2008 für den automatischen Download bereitstehen,
WebAccess-Kunden können sich anschließend in das Xetra Simulations-Backend einloggen.
Wichtig: Es ist zwingend notwendig, dass WebAccess-Teilnehmer am 7. April 2008 Java
jre1.5.0_09 auf dem WebAccess-Client installiert haben und sowohl den Java-Cache als auch
den Browser-Cache vor dem Starten von WebAccess leeren.

Information regarding Distribution and Installation of Simulation Update
Kit 3
Dear Sir or Madam,
This circular provides details about distribution and installation of Xetra Release 9.0 simulation update kit 3.
Simulation update 3 does not contain any VALUES changes. Among other things, the following
improvements of features will be rolled out.
•
The filter feature was improved in some areas.
•
Problems with display of orders and quotes in the Xetra J-Trader were solved.
•
In the “Report-Selection” window, display “Raw Report” was replaced by “XML”.
Information regarding Distribution and Installation of Xetra Release 9.0 Simulation Update
Kit 3
Distribution:
On Friday, April 4, 2008, after close of trading, you will receive the new front-end simulation software for simulation environment. Transmission will take place via FTP to your report nodes. For
trading members using WebAccess, the Xetra Release 9.0 simulation software will be available via
the Java Web Start technology as of Monday, April 7, 2008.
The target transfer directories on the Xetra simulation MISSes are:
SUN Solaris 10:
Windows Server 2003:

Each member will receive both simulation update kits, i.e. the kit for SUN Solaris 10 and the kit for
Microsoft Windows.
To ensure a smooth kit distribution, please note the following:
•
At least 30 MB disk space has to be available in the transfer directory on each of your
simulation MISSes,
Make sure that your report MISSes in your Xetra simulation environment will be reachable
without interruption from Friday evening, April 4, 2008 until Tuesday morning, April 8,
2008 to enable the file transfer.
•
Check that the necessary read and write permissions for files and folders are set correctly.

The successful distribution of the kits will be monitored. In case of any transfer problems, another
transfer for the next day will be initiated automatically. In addition, the software will be posted on
the website of EEX for downloading as of April 4, 2008 under the following path:

Installation:
Please install the update kits as of April 7, 2008. Starting Tuesday, April 8, 2008, support will
only be provided on the basis of the most recent software version for the Xetra 9.0 Release
Simulation.
For details about installation, please refer to the “Installation Notes” (readme file) for Xetra Release 9.0 simulation update kit3 which will be distributed together with the software kits.
Distribution of WebAccess Software via Java Web Start
For WebAccess customers, all front-end software components will be distributed through the Web
Start servers. By starting the applications available under
http://tradingsystems.eex.de/spot/simu/eex_spot_simu.html
the download process will be initiated. The Xetra Release 9.0 simulation software will be available
for automatic download as of April 7, 2008. After the download has been completed, WebAccess
customers will be able to log in to the updated Xetra simulation back-end.
Important: It is compulsory that WebAccess members have Java jre1.5.0_09 installed on the
WebAccess client on April 7, 2008. Also, they must clear the Java cache and the browser
cache before starting WebAccess.
