The interior of this classic Georgian residence in North London was recently completed by the design team Laxer + Salter.
The designers, who specialise in contemporary classic interior furnishings and fittings, created a chic living environment that
is elegant yet at the same time practical and convenient in terms of everyday living. The occupants are a young family. This
residence is typical of Laxer + Salter’s trademark style: a mixture of luxury, polished design and comfortable living.
Laxer + Salter’s cooperation is based on a shared aim to create exclusive, top-of-the-range interiors throughout Europe and the
U.S.A.
Their philosophy consists in combining the client’s idea with local aesthetics in order to create a bespoke and genuinely
individual residence.
For this project the design team worked with F3 Architects in London, a firm of architects and interior designers that designs
timeless and artistic interiors.
L’intérieur de cette demeure géorgienne classique du nord de Londres a récemment été rénové par l’équipe de designers
Laxer + Salter. Les créateurs, spécialisés dans l’aménagement d’intérieurs classiques contemporains, ont créé ici un espace de vie
distingué, élégant et agréable pour une jeune famille. Cette résidence porte la signature caractéristique de Laxer + Salter : un
mélange de luxe, perfection du design et confort de vie.
La collaboration entre Laxer et Salter vise un objectif commun : la conception d’intérieurs exclusifs de haut niveau, partout en
Europe et aux Etats-Unis.
Leur philosophie consiste à associer la vision du client à l’esthétique locale, afin de créer une véritable habitation individuelle sur
mesure.
Pour ce projet, l’équipe de designers a collaboré avec F3 Architects, un bureau d’architecture et d’intérieur londonien, qui
élabore des intérieurs intemporels et artistiques.
Het interieur van deze klassieke Georgian woning in Noord-Londen werd recent afgewerkt door het designteam Laxer + Salter.
De ontwerpers, die gespecialiseerd zijn in hedendaags klassieke interieurinrichtingen, creëerden hier een chique leefomgeving,
elegant én leefbaar, voor een jong gezin. Deze residentie typeert de signatuur van Laxer + Salter: een mix van luxe, gepolijst
design en comfortabel wonen.
De samenwerking Laxer + Salter is een gezamelijk streven naar exclusieve topinterieurs overal in Europa en de V.S.
Hun filosofie bestaat erin de visie van de klant te combineren met lokale esthetica om een écht individuele woning op maat te
creëren.
Het designteam werkte voor dit project samen met F3 Architects in Londen, een architectuur- en interieurbureau dat tijdloze en
artistieke interieurs ontwerpt.

The photography collection continues throughout the home.

The chimney breast is covered in Philip
Jefferies crushed granite wallpaper to
add texture to the space. The window
treatments are hand woven panels by
Salt Textiles.

The American walnut dining table and
the steel and marble sideboard are by
Rachel Laxer. The dining chairs are classic
Christian Liaigre pieces and the lamps are
vintage Danish glass as is the mid-century
collection of French and Belgium art glass
on the side cabinets. It all comes together
to create a casual yet polished dining room
that can be dressed up or down depending
on the meal.
La table de la salle à manger est en noyer
d’Amérique et la console en acier et marbre
a été conçue par Rachel Laxer. Chaises
Christian Liaigre, lampes danoises vintage
et objets de décoration en verre français et
belges, sur les deux armoires. Un ensemble
convivial et pourtant raffiné, qui, selon les
circonstances, peut être dressé ou pas.
De eetkamertafel in Amerikaanse notelaar
en de console in staal en marmer werden
door Rachel Laxer ontworpen. Stoelen
van Christian Liaigre, vintage Deense
lampen en Franse en Belgische glaskunst
op beide wandkasten. Een conviviaal en
toch geraffineerd geheel dat naargelang de
omstandigheden al dan niet opgedekt kan
worden.

Clean and classic are the motifs for the kitchen with white cabinets; black
absolute countertops paired with a Saarinen table and Bertoia chairs.
Eclat et classicisme sont les mots-clés dans la cuisine aux armoires blanches,
qui contrastent avec les plans de travail noirs. Table signée Saarinen, avec les
célèbres chaises Bertoia.
Helder en klassiek zijn de kernwoorden in de keuken met de witte kasten, in
contrast met de zwarte werkbladen. Een tafel ontworpen door Saarinen met
daarrond de bekende Bertoia stoelen.

The leather and nickel detailed headboard
by Rachel Laxer is mixed with vintage
night tables and Christian Liaigre lamps.
The fabrics are cashmere, cotton, wool and
silk velvet all melding together to create a
chilled out bedroom.
La tête de lit en cuir et nickel (une création
de Rachel Laxer) se mélange aux lampes et
tables de nuit vintage de Christian Liaigre.
Cachemire, coton, laine et velours de soie
ont été réunis pour former un ensemble
intimiste.
Het beddehoofd afgewerkt met leder en
nikkel (een ontwerp van Rachel Laxer)
wordt gemixt met vintage nachttafeltjes
en lampen van Christian Liaigre. Kasjmier,
katoen, wol en zijdevelours worden hier
samengesmeed tot een intimistisch geheel.

The children’s rooms.
Eclectic mirror and art are mixed with white simple furnishings and easily changeable fabrics are designed to suit the evolving needs of growing children. These joyful rooms are both childlike but well
suited to the entire feeling of the overall home.
Les chambres d’enfants.
Miroirs hétéroclites et art se confondent et s’agrémentent d’un mobilier blanc simple. Les tissus facilement interchangeables ont été conçus pour répondre aux besoins en perpétuelle évolution des
enfants en pleine croissance.
De kinderkamers.
Eclectische spiegels en kunst smelten samen met eenvoudig wit meubilair. De gemakkelijk verwisselbare stoffen zijn ontworpen om te beantwoorden aan de snel veranderende behoeften van
opgroeiende kinderen.
