1. RULES
The regatta will be governed by :
1.1. ISAF International Racing Rules of Sailing 2009-2012, including Annexe B,
1.2. FFVoile Prescriptions applicable to foreign competitors and precised in Annexe

1.3. The present notice of race as well as the sailing instructions.
1.4. In case of translation conflict, French will prevail.
2. ADVERTISING
Coupe de Nwel is governed by ISAF Regulation 20 of the Advertising Code and as modified by the
FFVoile Prescriptions on advertising
3. ENTRY AND ADMISSIONS
Admitted boats for the the regatta will be OPTIMIST – OPEN BIC – LASER (4.7 – Radial
et Standard) – Sport catamaran 16’ and 18’
3.2. To enter the race, a boat shall fill in the attached entry form and send it to the Cercle
Sportif de Bas-du-Fort – CSBF before 16 November 2010. Payment must be made while
registering either by cheque, cash or bank transfert.
3.1.
French residents may register by completing the attached entry form and sending it with
a cheque adressed to « CSBF Coupe de Nwel 2010 »
Entry fee : 90€uros per competitor in solo-handed classes
75 €uros per competitor in double-handed classes (sport catamaran)
Past due date of 16 November 2010, entry fees will be 20 % up.

Nwel 09) or at registration confirmation by cash or credit card (Visa – Mastercard)

3.3.
All competitors living in France must register providing the following information:
 A valid FFVoile license bearing GP’ stamp  Parent’s autorisation for under 18 youngsters
 Age category upgrade standard form duly completed if applicable
 Advertising license if applicable
 General measurements certification mark
Other competitors non-domiciled in France must present while registering :
 Full compliance with their ISAF member national sailing authority
 Parents autorisation for youngsters aged under 18

6. MEASUREMENTS
Measurements procedures and controls will take place on Saturday 26 Decembrer from 10am to 5pm at the
Cercle Sportif de Bas du Fort - CSBF.
7. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
Sailing instructions and annexes will be :
- Made available upon final registration the 26 Decembre 2010
- Displayed according to FFV prescriptions.
8. COURSES
The different courses will be trapezoid or raid
9. PENALTY SYSTEM
For sport catamaran, rule 44.1 is modified so that two turns penalty is replaced by a single turn penalty.
10. SCORING
A minimum of 3 races shall be completed to valid a series
 When 3 races have been completed, a boat series score will be the total of her scores.
 When 4 to 11 races have been completed, a boat series score will be the total of her
scores excluding her worst score.
 When over 11 races have been completed, a boat series score will be the total of her
scores excluding her 2 worst scores.
11. RADIO COMMUNICATIONS
Except in an emergency, a boat shall neither make radio transmissions while racing nor receive radio
communications that would not be available to all boats. This restriction also applies to mobile phones.

13. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Competitors take part in the regatta entirely at their own risks. Decision to participate in a race or continue
racing is their responsability alone.
The organising authority will not accept any responsability for material dammage, personal injury or death
sustained in conjunction with, prior to, during or after the regatta.
14. INSURANCE
Non-french residents without a FFVoile licence shall be insured (and be able to justify it) with a valid third
party liabiliy insurance with a minimum cover of 1.500.000 € during all the competition.
