SensoWash ® C
Less is more, after all. SensoWash® Starck is a shower-toilet seat like no other: a successful combination of hygiene,
comfort and design – and the first product of its kind created in collaboration with a renowned designer. Building on the
momentum of this ever-popular product, Duravit has now introduced a new addition to its shower toilet seat family –
SensoWash® C. What makes SensoWash® C special is something you cannot see: for the first time, the connections for
water and electricity (for water heating, dryer and seat heating) are concealed. This new technology allows for an overall,
consistently pure look. The lines remain uninterrupted by external elements – a perfect feature for any designophile.
SensoWash® C is compatible with the Duravit Starck 2, Starck 3 and Darling New toilet ranges, a combination that
creates a sinuous look from the toilet seat through the ceramic bowl. The design is seamless, pure and invigorating as
the water used by SensoWash® C for soft, gentle cleansing.

Et comme si cela ne suffisait pas, Duravit présente désormais une nouvelle version améliorée: SensoWash® C. La particularité de SensoWash® C est «invisible»: en effet, pour la première fois, les raccords pour l’eau et l’électricité (pour le
chauffage de l’eau, le séchage et le chauffage de l’abattant) sont dissimulés. Cette nouvelle technique contribue à
l’aspect résolument épuré de l’ensemble: les lignes ne sont pas interrompues par des éléments inesthétiques – ce qui
n’est pas sans importance aux yeux de tous les concepteurs de salles de bains amateurs de design.
Les cuvettes des séries Starck 2, Starck 3 et Darling New sont compatibles avec SensoWash® C. Grâce à ses raccords dissimulés, l’abattant s’inscrit toujours dans la continuité visuelle logique de ces cuvettes en céramique, avec des lignes
parfaitement ininterrompues et épurées. Un design «comme coulé d’une seule pièce» – aussi clair, pur et stimulant que

SensoWash ® C
A. Pre-installation in subfloor – Installation préliminaire encastrée.
1.The pre-installation set is fitted during the
shell phase. It consists of a precision fixing plate,
assembly materials, 1/2 “ fitting, pre-installation
datasheet and assembly instructions.
The set is tailored to all standard frame
systems. (order no. # 0050720000).

la phase de gros-œuvre. Il contient une plaque de
fixation aux dimensions exactes, le matériel de
montage, un raccord 1/2‘‘, la fiche technique de
l‘installation préliminaire et la notice de montage.
2. The parts of the pre-installation set are fitted
to the frame system. The universal 1/2 “ internal
thread allows it to be easily connected to the cold
water system.

montées sur l‘élément mural. Grâce au
filetage universel 1/2‘‘, la connexion au réseau
d’eau froide s’effectue sans problème.
3. Lead the power cable through the point on the
wall indicated in the pre-installation datasheet.
A cable length of 31 1/2“ ensures easy assembly.

B. Installation of the toilet – Installation de la cuvette.
Durafix-Set
1. The toilet is supplied with the relevant Durafix
quick fittings (for wall-mounted toilets), the
cardboard fitting guide, the connection set containing all major connection components and
detailed assembly instructions.

tous les éléments de raccordements nécessaires
et les consignes de montage détaillées.
2. The fitting guide is placed with the flat side
on the floor and the wall-mounted toilet is placed
on it upside down. This makes it easy to fit the
Durafix fittings.
2. Placer le côté plat du carton de montage sur
le sol et y poser le WC suspendu à l’envers. Cela
permet de mettre les fixations rapides Duravit
plus facilement.
3. The toilet is inverted to leave the glazed waste
trap surface exposed and not damaged or scratched. The 1/2“ connection bracket is fitted to the
prepared water connection on the frame element
and the pressure hose is fitted with a union nut.

4. Place the toilet and fitting guide in front of
the frame element. The hose, which has already
been fitted, is fed through the toilet, pulled
out of the opening to the left and fixed using a
cardboard clip.

mur. Faire passer le câble déjà installé par
l‘ouverture à gauche de la cuvette et le
fixer avec une cale en carton.
5. The power connection (black connection)
is fed through the toilet and fixed at the top
using a cardboard clip. The Durafix metal
adapters are fitted to the hanging bolts, then
the toilet is fitted onto the hanging bolts and
fixed from below.
5. Faire passer le branchement électrique
(raccord noir) à travers la cuvette et le fixer à
l’extérieur avec une cale en carton. L’adaptateur
en métal Durafix vient se visser sur les goujons.
Il suffit ensuite de glisser le WC et de le fixer
par le bas.
6. The power cable coming out of the wall
is connected to a built-in terminal box in
the cable box. Fix the cable box in the toilet
with the Velcro. The other half of the Velcro
is already fitted in the toilet to indicate the
position. This means the power connection is
safe and invisible.
6. Fixer le câble électrique sortant du mur au
bloc de fixation intégré dans le boîtier. Fixer
le boîtier à la cuvette avec les bandes collantes.
L‘emplacement est défini par les autres éléments déjà montés. Le branchement électrique
est ainsi sécurisé et invisible.
C. Fitting the SensoWash® Starck C – Montage de SensoWash® Starck C.
1. Fit the mounting plate on the toilet. The
pre-fitted water and electrical connection
components can be found on the underside
of the toilet seat. There are rubber seals to
protect against, for example, cleaning water
penetrating the inside of the ceramics.

et l‘électricité sont déjà montés sous l‘abattant.
Les joints en caoutchouc empêchent l’écoulement de l’eau à l’intérieur de la cuvette pendant
le nettoyage.
2. Screw together the halves of the power
connection coupling. For the water, connect
the ball valve to the seat using a union nut.
Turn the valve 45° to open and the water
connection is ready.
3. Click the toilet seat into the fitting plate at
an angle of approx. 15° and you‘re ready. There
is a button on the side to release the seat for
cleaning, simply lift slightly and then click back
in again.

Tourner le clapet de 45° pour l‘ouvrir; le circuit
d‘eau est en état de fonctionnement.
3. Enclencher l‘abattant avec un angle de 15°
par rapport à la plaque de fixation. Pour nettoyer
l‘abattant, appuyer sur le bouton sur le côté
pour le démonter et le soulever légèrement. Il
suffit ensuite de le réenclencher.
