1 Introduction
Welcome aboard the Pottier P130UL! With it's middle wing configuration and wonderful
visibility, you'll enjoy the wonderful sensation of flight that only an ultralight gives you.
This aircraft has been modelled in X-Plane using actual blueprints kindly provided by the
owner of a real Pottier P130UL.
Bienvenue à bord du Pottier P130UL ! Avec cet appareil, vous aller découvrir ou redécouvrir
les joies du vol en ultra-léger, ainsi que les avantages procurés par l'aile médiane en terme
de visibilité.
Cet appareil a été modélisé le plus fidèlement possible d'après les liasses d'origines et avec
la complicité de constructeurs et pilotes de l'appareil réel.

2 Quick start / Démarrage rapide
2.1 Installation
To install the Pottier P130UL; you simply need to unzip the archive you downloaded and then
copy the whole folder into your X-Plane's aircraft directory.
You can place this folder in X-Plane's “Aircraft” folder or copy it to wherever you want, as
long as it is contained inside X-Plane's main folder.
It is generally recommended to have a separate folder for add-on aircraft. This is usually the
best location for any newly installed aircraft.
Pour installer cet appareil, dézipper simplement le contenu de l'archive que vous avez
téléchargé et copier le dossier dans le répertoire d'X-Plane.
Vous pouvez le placer dans le dossier “Aircraft” ou tout autre dossiers de votre choix, l'idéal
étant d'avoir un dossier dédié pour placer les avions supplémentaires.
2.2 Hardware requirements / Matériel requis

Cet add-on a été testé sur de nombreuses configurations, sous Windows, MAC et Linux. Il a
été conçu dans l'optique d'offrir de bonne performances sur des machines relativement
anciennes, le tout avec la meilleure qualité visuelle possible.
Si toutefois votre machine ne permet pas d'utiliser X-Plane 9 ou 10 dans de bonnes
conditions, vous pouvez réduire la qualité des textures dans le menu « rendering option ».
Les textures du cockpit resteront parfaitement lisibles, garantissant une lecture optimale des
instruments et ce quelque soit le réglage choisi.
2.3 X-Plane settings
For the best in-flight experience, you could set the lateral field of view (FOV) to 60°. That's a
perfect setting for a 16/10 screen. You can fine tune this value a little, depending of your
preference and screen configuration. You can set this value in X-Plane's “Rendering Options”
menu.
X-plane can be used with a simple mouse but is far more enjoyable and effective when used
with a joystick and rudder pedals.
Afin de profiter au mieux du cockpit 3D, il est recommandé de régler le champs de vision sur
60°. Ce réglage est idéal pour un écran 16/10 et peu bien sur être modifiée en fonction des
écrans et goût de chacun. Cette valeur peut être réglée dans le menu « rendering options ».

2.4 Manipulators behavior / Fonctionnement des manipulateurs
X-Plane uses, intensively, manipulators to enhance the flight experience.
The use of manipulators allow the user to smoothly drag levers or click buttons, depending of
the cursor shape. The cursor shows a 'cursor' when a lever needs to be dragged and a 'hand'
when you need to click (toggle button).
In order to navigate easily in the cockpit, you should map your hat-switch on your joystick
with the left/right up/down function. The 3D cockpit mode with a mouse is not adapted for
instrument tuning. By the way, all efforts have been made so that you can use this 3D
Cockpit with the same simplicity as a 2D one.
Off course, a tracking device like a TrackIr greatly improve the experience.
Comme tous les appareils récents pour X-Plane, cet add-on fait appel aux manipulateurs
pour accroire la sensation d'immersion.
L'utilisation des manipulateurs permet de déplacer facilement les différents leviers et de
cliquer sur les boutons, en fonction de la forme du curseur. L'utilisation du mode « cockpit
3D » n'est hélas pas très adaptée aux réglages des instruments et radios et tout à été fait
pour rendre les commandes importantes accessible en vue « fixe (touche W) ou latérale
(flèches gauche et droite).
Bien sur, l'utilisation d'un disposition tel que le Track-Ir augmente encore plus l'immersion.
2.5 SASL Plug-in
This add-on uses the SASL plug-in to increase realism of specific systems.
All the files located in the “Custom avionics” folder are under GPL license and can be
redistributed under the same terms.
Cet add-on utilise le plug-in SASL pour accroitre le réalisme de certains systèmes.
Tous les fichiers présent dans le dossier “Custom avionics” sont sous licence GPL te
peiuvent être redistribué dans les même conditions.
2.6 Paint-kit
A paint-kit is available on order, to allow enthusiasts to make their own liveries. You can
download the paint kit at Hydroz.net.
Liveries which are deemed to be exceptional quality may be incorporated in further updates,
but only with the explicit permission of the original author.
Un paintkit est disponible afin de réaliser vos propres livrées pour le P130. Vous pouvez le
télécharger sur Hydroz.net.
Les plus belles livrées pourront être incorporées au futur mise à jour, avec l'accord de

Between the seats, you'll find the flaps lever. On you back, the red handle deploy the chute.
Use with caution !
Entre les 2 sièges se trouve la commande des volets. Dans votre dos, la poignée rouge
dépolie le parachute. A utiliser avec précaution !

5 Frequently asked questions / Foire aux questions (FAQ)

I received an error message in X-Plane while loading the aircraft:
This add-on has been developed for X-Plane V9.70 and X-Plane 10.21+. You should update
your X-Plane to at least this version. Go to X-Plane.com and grab the updater in the
download section.
•
My aircraft has weird behaviour. The controls don't respond as they should:
It may be caused by a plug-in provided with an other aircraft. Try to deactivate them in the
plug-in menu or move them out of the plug-in folder and then restart X-plane.
•
My aircraft jerks on the ground, even when the engine not running:
Try to adjust the number of flight models per frame in the “Operations & warnings” menu. A
good value is within 2 and 3 for all aircraft, but should be more (3-4) for light aircraft and
helicopters. It has a limited impact on fps (frame-rates) and you should always lower
rendering setting first instead of lowering this value to increase frame-rates.
•
Does this add-on work in X-Plane 10?
Sure. It will be updated during the run of X-plane 10.
•
J'ai un message d'erreur lord du chargement de l'appareil :
Cet add-on a été développé pour X-Plane 9.70 et X-Plane 10.21+. Mettez à jour votre XPlane en téléchargeant “l'updater” sur x-plane.com.
•
Mon avion se comporte bizarrement, les commandes ne répondent pas
correctement:
Cela peut provenir d'un conflit avec un autre plug-in. Essayez de le désactiver dans le menu
plug-in ou de le retirer du dossier plug-in, puis redémarrez X-Plane.
•
Mon appareil gigote au sol, même moteur éteint ::
Essayer d'ajuster le nombre de calcul du modèle de vol par image, dans le menu
“Operations & warnings”. La valeur idéale est de l'ordre d e2 à 3, voire plus pour les appareil
léger (3 – 4) et les hélicoptères. L'impact sur les fps est assez limité et il est préférable de
réduire les qualités graphiques pour obtenir un nombre d'images par secondes plus
important.
•
Cet add-on fonctionne t'il sur X-Plane 10 ?
Bien sur, et il recevra des mises à jour tout au long de la vie d'X-Plane 10.
