The module "personal and professional development" helps students to prepare for their work placement which they will carry out in year 2 of the program. Students also benefit from very practical, hands-on classes such as Interest-based negotiation programme and are required to carry out a socio-organizational assessment in a large company. The second year is devoted to deepening students' academic knowledge and enhancing their professional skills. Students sign a 12 month apprenticeship contract within a company or administration and take on a specific assignment at management level. The formula of alternating one week of study with three weeks in the company or administration allows students to combine their knowledge of theoretical concepts with hands-on experience Students who wish to gain an additional (professional) experience may request a gap year between year 1 and year 2 of the program. Students can choose to take additional classes in one of Sciences Po's partner universities and/or carry out a work placement in France or abroad. Students enrolled in the program also have the possibility of joining Sciences Po's doctoral school through the Center for the Sociology of Organizations (Sciences Po – CNRS) if they meet the eligibility criteria. An individual tutoring system offered by experienced HR executives during year 2 of the program or during the gap year helps students to reflect on what they envisage doing after graduation. Career prospects With its combination of broad-based and specialist knowledge alongside the placement year, the Masters in Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources aims to train human resources professionals for positions as human resource managers and true HR specialists.
