L’Australie (officiellement « Commonwealth
d’Australie ») est un pays de l’hémisphère Sud, qui
couvre la plus grande île du continent océanien, l’île
de Tasmanie. L’Australie étend ses 7 686 850 Km²
de surface sur la plaque indo australienne. Bordée
par les Océans Indien, Pacifique et Austral.
L’Australie est séparée de l’Asie par les mers
d’Arafura et de Timor. Elle compte 25 760
kilomètres de côtes et revendique 8 148 250 km² de
zone économique exclusive.
Sa culture : Une grande partie de la culture
australienne dérive de ses racines européennes et
plus récemment américaines, mais des spécificités australiennes ont évolué à partir de
l’environnement, de la culture aborigène et de l’influence des voisins de l’Australie. La
vigueur et l’originalité des arts australiens (cinéma, opéra, musique, peinture, théâtre, danse,
artisanat) lui font atteindre aujourd’hui une reconnaissance internationale.
University Martin College: Martin College est une université privée accueillant chaque
année des étudiants australiens et internationaux sur un magnifique campus du centre ville de
Sydney.
- Environnement : l’université est située au cœur de Sydney. Il s’agit d’une université très
moderne, équipée de salles d’ordinateurs, d’internet, d’une bibliothèque. Vous pourrez
également participer à des activités organisées par les associations d’étudiants et faire parti de
clubs.
- Activités : le surf à la plage, les parcs nationaux, les restaurants, les galeries d’art, les

Le déroulement du programme :
Les cours d’anglais :
Vous suivrez 10 semaines de cours d’anglais dans notre école de Sydney, située au cœur de la
ville à Darlinghurst. Une école magnifique, très moderne avec des salles d’ordinateurs, des
tableaux interactifs pour suivre vos cours, un accès internet, un lounge, une bibliothèque et de
nombreuses activités et sorties organisées par l’équipe sur place. Les locaux de l’école se
situent sur un campus universitaire, où vous trouverez également Martin College et Charles
Sturt University, un campus animé et fréquenté par autant d’australiens que d’étudiants venus
du monde entier.
Vos cours : vous suivrez un programme intensif de 28 leçons d’anglais par semaine. Des
activités diverses sont utilisées pendant les cours : travail avec la classe, en groupe, à deux,
discussions, débats, jeux de rôles divertissants…Ces différentes méthodes vous permettront
d’apprendre, de gagner en confiance et en aisance, autant à l’écrit qu’à l’oral. Vous serez ainsi
préparé à suivre l’un des « certificates » proposés par Martin College après vos 10 semaines.
L’école organise également de nombreuses activités et excursions comme :
Australian Museum, Blue Mountains, Jenolan Caves, Sydney Aquarium, Sydney Museum of
Contemporary Art, Taronga Park Zoo, The Rocks

Les Certificates de Martin College :
Les programmes de Martin College ont été créés pour donner l’opportunité aux étudiants de
trouver leur voie et d’intégrer des universités le plus rapidement possible. Vous serez sur le
même campus que l’école d’anglais.
Pour intégrer l’un de ces programmes, vous devrez :
- soit avoir suivi les dix semaines de cours intensifs dans l’école d’anglais de Sydney, et
obtenir le niveau Upper Intermediate
- soit postuler en direct à l’un de ces « certificates » en ayant en votre possession un IELTS de
5.5 points (avec aucun sujet en dessous de 5.0), ou un TOEFL Ibt de 71 points, ou un TOEIC
700 points ou encore un CAE grade C (pour d’autres tests, nous contacter).
Nous vous proposons 6 filières au choix :
Business & Management : vous pouvez choisir l’un de ces trois

1- Advanced Diploma of Management
Develop the entrepreneurial skills needed for success in the business world. Learn to create
and implement strategic business plans and gain knowledge of financial and information
management processes.
Program tuition duration: 20 weeks
Graduates of this program are awarded the nationally recognised qualification: BSB6040
Advanced Diploma of Management.
Package this course with Certificate IV in Business and Diploma of Business (50 weeks).

2- Diploma of Business
A practical program which allows students to develop general business skills across a wide
range of business functions. Learn to identify new and emerging opportunities for the
business and develop strategies to capitalise on them.

As employers want to hire people with a broad range of up-to-date skills, this course prepares
graduates for today’s business environment.

Event Management
- Diploma of Venues and Events
Event management plays an increasingly important role in the marketing and communications
mix for all businesses.
The role of an Event Manager complements the marketing plan of an organisation as a means
of advertising or building a brand. Event Managers work in consultation with public relations
and marketing staff, and creative and advertising teams to develop an event which showcases
a special occasion or product.
Graduates of this program receive the national award: CUE50403 Diploma of Venues and
Events.

Marketing
- Diploma of Marketing
This course provides a thorough understanding of pricing, promotion, product and place in
both the services and commercial product areas. With the ability to produce a comprehensive
marketing communications plan, Martin College graduates will be prepared to start their
marketing career.

This course can be packaged with the Certificate IV in Marketing (30 weeks)

Travel & Tourism : vous aurez le choix de deux « Certificates »
1- Diploma of Tourism
The Martin College Diploma of Tourism program teaches students to create international
fares and tickets, including e-tickets, in addition to professional itineraries and working on
Galileo, a travel industry based computerised reservations system. Students learn the industry
standard reservations system, Galileo, from experts with vast tourism experience.
Graduates of the Diploma of Tourism program receive the nationally accredited award:
SIT50107 Diploma of Tourism.
This course can be packaged with the Certificate III in Tourism.

2- Certificate III in Tourism (Retail Travel Sales)
The Martin College Certificate III in Tourism equips graduates with the skills needed to help
design the perfect trip for customers, whether it is for business or pleasure. The course
develops skills to assist clients to purchase tickets, make hotel or car rental reservations, and
plan tours and other recreational activities possible at their destination.
Graduates of the Certificate III in Tourism (Retail Travel Sales) receive the nationally
accredited award: SIT30207 Certificate III in Tourism.

Graphic Design : vous aurez le choix de deux « Certificates »
1- Diploma of Graphic Design
In the Martin College Diploma of Graphic Design students learn to use Adobe Creative Suite
and develop a portfolio to present at job interviews or to use for credit into a degree. This
course will allow you to develop specialist skills in multimedia and advertising.
Graduates of the Diploma of Graphic Design receive the nationally accredited 30808QL
Diploma of Graphic Design (Advertising and Multimedia).

2- Certificate IV in Design
The Martin College Certificate IV in Design will assist graduates to develop skills across a
broad spectrum of visual projects. You will achieve the fundamentals of design, enabling you
to quickly and effectively represent, communicate and refine concepts. Learn how to enhance
your creativity through the use of contemporary creative software, and bring your creative
ideas to life.
Graduates of the Martin College Certificate IV in Design program receive the nationally
accredited award: CUV40303 Certificate IV in Design.

Information Technology : vous aurez le choix de deux « Certificates »
1- Diploma of Information Technology
The Diploma of Information Technology (Systems Administration) can lead to a range of
rewarding career paths in the IT industry on graduation. Students will develop proficiency in
the use of computers and computational techniques to develop effective information systems
that solve real world problems. In this course students learn to build and configure a server in
line with enterprise requirements as well as developing skills and knowledge in network
administration and systems security.
Graduates of the Diploma of Information Technology program receive the nationally
accredited award: ICA50305 Diploma of Information Technology (Systems
Administration).

2- Certificate III in Information Technology
The Certificate IV in Information Technology (General) delivered at Martin College offers an
excellent entry qualification to get you started in a career in the IT industry on graduation.
Whilst learning skills in networking, webpage authoring and Java, students will also develop
communication and teamwork skills which are relevant to employment in the IT industry.
Graduates of the Certificate IV in Information Technology program receive: ICA40105
Certificate IV in Information Technology (General).

Les étudiants qui suivent un Certificate ou un Diploma de Martin College auront

Si vous souhaitez découvrir la culture des familles australiennes, c’est un moyen idéal pour
améliorer votre anglais. Les repas sont, bien entendu, fournis le matin et le soir, vous aurez
également votre propre chambre et les familles sont généralement très proches des transports
en commun. Les familles sont spécialement sélectionnées par nos correspondants locaux en
fonction de leur gentillesse et leur motivation à accueillir un étudiant international.
Appartement étudiant :
Les résidences se situent proche du campus à Surry Hill, à environ 10-15 minutes de Central
Station. Il s’agit d’appartements en chambre double avec kitchenette. Les salles de bain et la
cuisine principale sont communes. Dans la résidence il y un Student lounge, une salle de jeux,
une laverie avec sèches linge, internet, téléphone, un coin barbecue… Vous trouverez des
magasins, cafés, restaurants autour de la résidence. Le petit-déjeuner est offert tous les matins.
Le « plus » de l’Australie en tant qu’étudiant
Si vous êtes étudiant en Australie, vous pouvez travailler légalement jusqu’à 20 heures par
semaine.
