Engagement de confidentialité
En tant qu’agence de financement de la recherche libre en Communauté française de
Belgique, le Fonds de la Recherche Scientifique – FNRS (F.R.S.-FNRS) est soumis à des
standards d’éthique et de professionnalisme dans la conduite de ses opérations.
Dans ce cadre, toutes les personnes impliquées dans les processus d’évaluation du FNRS
(experts de la première étape et membres des commissions scientifiques) sont tenus de
respecter les principes de confidentialité décrits ci-dessous.
Sont considérées comme confidentielles (i) d’une manière générale, toute information en ce
compris les échanges écrits ou verbaux sous quelque forme que soit, toute analyse,
compilation, étude, prévision ou autres documents communiqués dans le cadre ou à
l’occasion de la mission d’expertise confiée à l’Expert identifié ci-après et (ii) d’une manière
particulière, toutes les propositions ainsi que les informations données par le proposant, les
lettres de référence et les éventuels avis d’experts de la première étape qui ont été reçus par
le F.R.S.-FNRS et ont été remis à l’Expert.
En conséquence, l’Expert s’engage auprès du F.R.S.-F.N.R.S. à, (i) d’une manière générale,
assurer la plus stricte confidentialité à l’égard des informations confidentielles et (ii) d’une
manière particulière à assurer le respect des engagements visés ci-après.
Ces informations peuvent être utilisées exclusivement dans le cadre de l’évaluation.
Afin de préserver la confidentialité des propositions, des informations liées et des débats les
concernant, les personnes impliquées dans le processus d’évaluation ne peuvent en aucun
cas les divulguer à un tiers, sans l’accord explicite du Secrétaire général du F.R.S.-FNRS.
De plus, les personnes impliquées dans le processus d’évaluation ne peuvent utiliser à
d’autres fins que celle de l’évaluation tout élément de propriété intellectuelle contenu dans
les propositions et les informations liées.
Enfin, afin de préserver la confidentialité, les personnes impliquées dans l’évaluation sont
tenues de détruire toutes les propositions et les informations liées dès que l’objectif pour
lequel ces éléments ont été fournis a été atteint.
L’Expert est informé du fait que tout manquement au présent engagement est, en outre,
contraire à l’éthique et potentiellement illégal.
Le présent engagement ne s’éteint pas à l’issue de la mission d’expertise et est souscrit sans
limite de durée.
Par le présent engagement, l’Expert confirme accepter de respecter strictement les principes
de confidentialité repris ci-dessus.

Non Disclosure Agreement
In its capacity as financing agency for research within the French-Speaking Community of
Belgium, the Fonds de la Recherche Scientifique – FNRS (“F.R.S.-FNRS”) is subject to ethical
and professionalism standards when performing its operations.
In that respect, all persons involved in the evaluation processes of the FNRS (first step experts
and members of the scientific Commissions) are required to comply with the hereunder
mentioned confidentiality principles.
Are deemed to be confidential (i) in general, any information including all exchanges
whether orally or in writing under any form, any analysis, compilation, study, prediction or any
other documents communicated within the framework or at the occasion of the expertise
mission the Expert hereafter identified has been entrusted with, and (ii) in particular, all
proposals as well as any information given by the applicant, the reference letters and the
possible opinions of the first step experts which have been received by the F.R.S.-FNRS and
remitted to the Expert.
As a consequence, the Expert commits himself vis-à-vis the F.R.S.-FNRS to (i) in general,
preserve the most strict confidentiality as regards any confidential information and (ii) in
particular, to comply with the hereunder mentioned commitments.
Any information can only and exclusively be used as part of the evaluation.
With a view to preserve the confidentiality of the proposals and of any information and
debates related thereto, the persons involved in the evaluation process may not, in any
event, disclose such proposals, information and debates to a third party without the express
approval of the Secretary general of the F.R.S.-FNRS.
In addition, the persons involved in the evaluation process may not use any intellectual
property element from any proposals or information related thereto to a purpose other than
the evaluation.
Finally, with a view to preserve the confidentiality, the persons involved in the evaluation
process are required to destroy all proposals and information related thereto as soon as the
objective for which these elements have been remitted has been reached.
The Expert is informed of the fact that any breach to the present commitment is moreover
contrary to ethics and potentially illegal.
The present commitment shall remain in force after the end of the expertise mission and is
taken without any time limitation.
By the present commitment, the Expert confirms his acceptance to strictly comply with the
hereabove exposed confidentiality principles.
