HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies World Championship (IFAHR)
Ils étaient seize partants au départ
de cette sixième étape du
Championnat du monde des
cavalières. Trouvant un lot à sa
portée, le pensionnaire de la
casaque Niarchos Artex
(Dormane), associé à Caroline
Brunaud, faisait briller
l'entraînement de Philippe Sogorb,
sous les yeux du manager de la
célèbre casaque, M. Alan Cooper.
Longtemps attardé, Artex venait en
pleine piste porter l'estocade à la
rentrante Labwah IRQ (Asad Saif)
qui semblait avoir pris le meilleur.
Forgehill Cartier (Dormane) venait
prendre le dernier accessit tout à la fin.
Du bon travail de la part de Philippe Sogorb : "C'était un bon cheval à l'âge de trois ans
qui a eu des problèmes de jambes jusqu'à l'âge de 4 ans. Sa rentrée le 19 avril dans le
Prix Carthage - Hannibal (Gr.2 PA) était vraiment très bonne. Sa seconde course a été
très décevante. C'était une course plus facile ici. Je l'ai toujours estimé. Il le fait avec son
courage, c'est vraiment un bon cheval et avoir Caroline aujourd'hui a été un plus. Elle l'a
monté comme il le fallait et on le reverra peut être fin juillet à Cagnes-sur-Mer".

HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies World Championship (IFAHR)
It was Artex (Dormane) trained
by Philippe Sogorb, owned by the
Niarchos family and ridden by
Caroline Brunaud who came out
on top to win this sixth leg of the
Ladies World Championship. Mr
Alan Cooper racing manager for
the Niarchos family was there to
represent the owner. He did not
jump well out of the stalls but
was patiently ridden by his rider
to make his move in the home
straight leading the 16-horse field
fifty meters from the winning
post. It was Labwah (Asad Saif)
back in second place with
Forgehill Cartier (Dormane) finishing third.
His trainer Philippe Sogorb said after the race : “He was a nice three-year-old who did
not run as a four-year-old as he had some legs problems. He ran really well for his first
race after a long absence in the Prix Carthage - Hannibal (Gr.2 PA) here in Toulouse but
did disappoint in his next race. It was an easier race for him today. I always thought a lot
of him, he did it with a lot of courage and Caroline rode him beautifully. His next race
might be in Cagnes-sur-Mer at the end of July”.
