Dear Grade 1 Stars,
I am super excited for our winter vacation to
start!!
I know you will be having a GREAT time with
your family and friends!
I prepared some English, Math and Science
activities to help you review when you start
to miss Grade 1  
English:
1. Activity Log
 An envelope with pictures are found
in your homework folder. You must
sort the pictures into 3 categories
NOUNS- ADJECTIVES- VERBS. Glue the
pictures onto the headings in your
activity log.
 Take a picture of your favorite toy,
dress, outfit, food etc and glue it in
your activity log. Write 8 adjectives
below your picture to describe your
favourite item.
2. Match the Synonym handout. Cut out
the words and glue them in your
activity log.
3. Compete the alphabetical order

Reading:
 Read the story ”The Best Place”
and complete the vocabulary and
comprehension handout
 Read the story “Get The Egg” pg
128 found on your English E-book
 Read the story “Animal Park” pg
154 found on your English E-book
Handwriting:
 Practice writing neatly. Practice the
words found in your handwriting
copybook.
Math:
 Complete the Math handouts found
in your homework folder
Science:
 Go to the following link and
complete the Science assignment.
