NB ! SECURITY ! NB ! SAFETY!
It is a rule of the campsite that young children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times,
especially in the swimming pool, at the river, in the toilet and shower blocks, at the clothes and dishwashing
facilities, where games are played and wherever there could be a safety risk. The owners and management of
Maisonneuve do not accept responsibility for any accident that happens as a result of this rule being breached.
In the interest of peace and uninterrupted rest for all, there must be no noise after 23.00 hrs; campers are
particularly asked not to drive their vehicles anywhere at Maisonneuve between 23.00hrs and 07.00hrs.

RECYCLING: Even while on holiday, lets try to help the environment. There are rubbish bags available at Reception and recycling bins to the left of the main entrance. Please use the appropriate labeled bins.
NATURE and us. Please don’t waste water and energy. Please also help your children to have respect for the
trees, the flowers, the river and the wildlife. Nature is a fragile balance and we all need to take good care of it.
Automatic Cash Distributor is next to the Post Office (La Poste) in Castelnaud, (I kilometre).

CANOEING: 2 Choices - 1 A canoe hire company at Castelnaud
2 A substantial trip down river organised by the company Copeyre. Starting and finishing
by bus from Maisonneuve, every Wednesday in the season.

Musical entertainment and dancing at the camping, July and August. The weekly programme is fixed
to the Point Info (Information Centre) close to the grocery shop.
RESTAURANT/Snack Bar: Good simple meals with a menu designed by our customers.
The menu can be found at the Snack Bar, at the bar and at the Point Info.
SUPERMARKETS at Sarlat (a variety of shops here also) and at Cenac and St Cyprien.
PLACES TO VISIT, from Maisonneuve
Maisonneuve campsite is in the heart of the golden triangle of the Perigord Noir. Close by is the village
of Castelnaud with its splendid medieval castle – a must see! – and on the opposite bank of the Dordogne river,
the delightful gardens of Marqueyssac and the village of Beynac with its own castle 4 km downstream.
4 km upstream is the remarkable cliff hanging village of Roque Gageac – and very close to that village is the
medieval ‘town’ of Domme, a fine bastide with a collection of caves to visit. There are many pleasant routes
for walking and/or cycling around these villages and valleys and maps can be bought from the tourist office in
Daglan or Beynac.
Further afield, the medieval, picturesque town of Sarlat is 10 kilometres to the north and to the west is the
famous prehistoric Valley de Vezere with the village of Les Eyzies, St Leon sur Vezere, and Montignac with its
famous Lascaux caves. 45 minutes to the east, is the valley of the Lot, with its the cliff hanging Monastry of
Rocamadour and the Padirac caves with its underground river. 45 minutes to the south west, there is a circuit
of medieval bastides (fortified hilltop towns), the such as Monpazier, Villefranche and Beaumont. The Bergerac
wine region is about 1h30 drive to the west.
SOME NICE SPOTS TO VISIT, close to Maisonneuve
Away from the normal busy routes there are charming places such as St Julien de Cenac, Simon, and Daglan
the castle and gardens at Lacoste. Then there is Josephine Baker’s Chateau des Milandes with its falconry. And
do remember that all these places and many more in the Perigord region are fully described in the Point Info ,
where there is also a free library.

Zwembad : 10.00-20.00 uur, het is voor jonge kinderen verboden om zonder begeleiding naar
het zwembad te gaan, naar de rivier, naar de speelplaatsen en naar het sanitair. In geval van
ongelukken kan Camping Maisonneuve hier niet verantwoordelijk voor gehouden worden. Gelieve
tussen 23.00 en 7.00 uur niet op het terrein rond te rijden vanwege de nachtrust van iedereen.

Buiten de openingstijden, dient u in geval van nood, gebruik te maken van de nachtbel
bij de deur van de receptie.
AFVALSCHEIDING : Dank voor uw inspanning voor een beter milieu ook tijdens uw vakantie.
Een plek met vuilcontainers treft u links van de hoofdingang van de camping aan. Afvalzakken
zijn beschikbaar bij de receptie, ook graag letten op de affiches op de gele vuilcontainers
NATUUR : niet nodeloos water en energie verspillen en leer uw kinderen bloemen, bomen, de
rivier en de vissen te respecteren. Dit evenwicht is breekbaar. Laten we allemaal waakzaam zijn.

SUPERMARKTEN en WINKELCENTRA OP 10 KM IN SARLAT (12 minuten met de auto)
TOURISME / BEZIENSWAARDIGHEDEN / TOCHTJES. Op de camping bevindt u zich
in het hart van de gouden driehoek van de Périgord Noir. Het dorpje « Castelnaud » en
zijn feodaal kasteel (absoluut bezoeken) met tegenover aan de andere kant van de rivier
de Dordogne « de tuinen van Marqueyssac » (te bezichtigen) Op 10 km ten noorden
ligt Sarlat, op 4km naar het westen ligt Beynac (dorp en kasteel te bezichtigen), op 4 km
naar het oosten ligt stroomopwaarts langs de Dordogne la Roque Gageac (dorpje het
bezoeken waard) en op 4 km ten zuiden ligt Domme (burcht en grotten te bezoeken).
Binnen deze driehoek kunt u ook mooie tochten maken met de fiets of te voet. Buiten
deze eerste gouden driehoek, ligt een tweede grotere driehoek met ten noorden de vallei
van de pre-historie, vanaf het dorpje Les Eyzies stroomopwaarts langs de Vézère tot
aan Montignac, Lascaux.
In het oosten in de Lot op ¾ uur rijden ; Rocamadour, Padirac. Ten zuiden op ¾ uur
rijden de reeks vestigingen waarvan de bekendste « Monpazier » is en ten westen op ¾
uur het begin van de Bergeracois.

En dehors des heures d’ouverture, en cas d’urgence utilisez la sonnette de nuit sur la porte de la réception.
Tri Sélectif : Merci de faire un effort pour l’environnement même en vacances. Un espace
pour vos poubelles est aménagé à gauche de l’entrée principale. Des poches tri sont
disponibles à la réception, sinon bien observer les affichettes sur les containers jaunes.
Nature : ne pas gaspiller inutilement l’eau, l’énergie et apprenez à vos enfants à respecter
les fleurs, les arbres ,la rivière, ses poissons. Cet équilibre est fragile. Soyons tous, vigilants.

SUPER MARCHE et GRANDS MAGASINS A 10kms à SARLAT (12 minutes en voiture)
TOURISME / VISITE / RANDO. au camping vous êtes situés au cœur du triangle d’or du
périgord noir. Le village de « Castelnaud » et son château féodal (à visiter absolument) avec
en face mais sur l’autre rive de la Dordogne « les jardins de Marqueyssac » (à visiter), à
10 kms au nord Sarlat, à 4kms à l’ouest Beynac (village et château à visiter), à 4 kms à l’est
en remontant la dordogne la Roque Gageac (village à visiter) et à 4 kms au sud est Domme
(bastide et grottes à visiter). Dans ce premier triangle vous pouvez aussi trouver de très
belles rando pédestres ou en bicyclette. Tout autour de ce triangle d’or, un 2ème triangle plus
large, avec au nord la vallée de la préhistoire, du village des Eyzies en remontant la Vézère
jusqu’à Montignac, Lascaux.
A l’est dans le Lot à ¾ heure ; Rocamadour, Padirac. Au sud à ¾ heure le circuit des bastides
dont la plus connue « Monpazier » et à l’ouest à ¾ heure le début du bergeracois.
QUELQUES COINS SYMPAS TOUT PRES du camping ; hors des sentiers battus, et supers
mignons : Saint Julien de Cénac, Simon, château et jardins de Lacoste. A 6 kms Château
des Milandes et sa fauconnerie.
N’oubliez pas qu’au fond de la cour d’accueil vous disposez 24h sur 24h d’un point Info
avec tous les renseignements sur notre région périgord noir, et bibliothèque libre, ainsi que
d’un espace WIFI aménagé sous le « préau salle de jeux ».
