A fungistat that actively inhibits the growth of moss, fungi or algae, for new or
existing composition roofs. Designed to be installed on a new or existing roof.
Roof must be cleaned with Shingle Shield Roof & Deck Cleaner to remove any
existing algae, fungus and/or moss prior to installation of Shingle Shield zinc
strips. Shingle Shield will last the life of the roof, and may be reused. Will not rust.
1 Roof must be cleaned using Shingle Shield Roof & Deck Cleaner prior to the
installation of Shingle Shield zinc strips.
2 Beginning from either end of the roof peak install a continuous single row
under the first available course of shingles below the ridge line. To allow for
thermal expansion leave a 1/8앨 (0.3 centimeters) gap between each section,
or just overlap them slightly.
3 Simply slide one Shingle Shield up under the shingle until its built-in alignment
guide butts against the edge of the shingle.
4 Once aligned, raise shingle tab, locate the pre-punched hole and nail into place
using a high quality hot-dipped galvanized roofing nail. Note: A dab of roofing
cement over the nail head will ensure a watertight seal (wood roofs should
use a neoprene washer head nail).
5 Repeat this process along the roof line until the row is completed. Note: For
persistent problems, severe conditions, or slopes greater than 20 ft., install
a second row midway down the roof slope.
6 Additional Shingle Shield pieces should be placed below dormers, chimneys,
or any other obstruction which blocks the flow of rainwater from the
ridgeline.
STORAGE AND DISPOSAL
Do not reuse empty container.
Wrap container and place in trash.

Precautions and Use Limitations
– Do not utilize water collected from a roof with Shingle Shield for potable or drinking
purposes.
– Removal of overhanging tree branches to reduce debris and nutrient sources is
recommended.
Storage and Disposal
Follow provincial regulations for the disposal of unused and unwanted product.

MODE D’EMPLOI
1 Avant l’installation des bandes en zinc Shingle ShieldMC, nettoyez la toiture avec le nettoyant
à toiture et terrasse Shingle ShieldMC .
2 En commençant sur une des deux extrémités de la crête du toit, installez une rangée de
bardeaux sous la première ligne disponible de bardeaux, en bas de la ligne du toit. Pour
laisser une marge de dilatation, laissez un espace de 0,3 cm (1/8 po) entre chaque section,
ou de façon à se chevaucher légèrement.
3 Vous n’avez qu’à glisser un bardeau Shingle Shield sous le bardeau déjà en place, jusqu’à
ce que son guide d’alignement incorporé soit appuyé contre le rebord du bardeau.
4 Après l’alignement, relevez la languette du bardeau, puis repérez le trou préalablement
perforé et enfoncez-y un clou de toiture galvanisé et trempé à chaud, de qualité supérieure.
Remarque : Un peu de colle à toiture sur la tête du clou vous garantira une installation
étanche (les toitures en bois doivent être faites avec des clous ayant une tête à rondelle
en néoprène).
CE PRODUIT NÉCESSITE L’EMPLOI DE FIXATIONS SPÉCIALES POUR TOITURES EN BOIS
5 Répétez cette procédure sur toute la longueur du toit jusqu’à ce que la rangée soit terminée.
Remarque : En cas de problèmes persistants, de conditions très difficiles et de pentes
dépassant 20 pieds (6 mètres), installez une deuxième rangée au milieu de la pente.
6 Des bardeaux supplémentaires Shingle Shield doivent être installés sous les lucarnes, les
cheminées et les autres obstructions qui bloquent l’écoulement de l’eau de pluie.
Précautions et restrictions concernant l’utilisation
– Il ne faut jamais récupérer l’eau de pluie s’écoulant sur des bardeaux Shingle Shield
afin de la boire ou de s’en servir comme eau potable.
– Il est recommandé d’enlever les branches d’arbres au-dessus du toit pour réduire les
chutes de débris et de nutriments.
Entreposage et élimination
Respectez toujours la réglementation en vigueur concernant l’élimination des produits
inutilisés ou excédentaires.

INSTRUCCIONES DE USO
1 Hay que limpiar el techo usando el limpiador de techos y cubiertas de madera Shingle
ShieldMR antes de instalar las tiras de zinc Shingle ShieldMR.
2 Empiece desde cualquier extremo de la parte más alta del techo para instalar una hilera
sencilla continua bajo la primera hilera de tejas debajo de la línea del caballete. Deje una
distancia de
1/8 de pulgada (0.3 cm) entre cada sección para permitir que haya una expansión térmica,
o simplemente traslápelas ligeramente.
3 Simplemente deslice una teja Shingle hasta ShieldMR hasta que su guía de alineación
integrada quede junto a la orilla de la teja.
4 Una vez que esté alineada, suba la pestaña de la teja, encuentre el orificio perforado
previamente y clávela en su lugar usando un clavo para techos galvanizado y templado de
alta calidad. Nota: Poner un poquito de cemento para techos sobre la cabeza del clavo
asegurará que la teja selle a prueba de agua (en caso de tratarse de un techo de madera,
use un clavo de cabeza con arandela de neopreno).
5 Repita este proceso por toda la línea imaginaria del techo hasta completar la hilera. Nota:
En el caso de problemas persistentes, condiciones severas o inclinaciones de más de 20
pies, instale una segunda hilera a mediados del declive del techo.
6 Se pueden colocar tejas Shingle ShieldMR adicionales debajo de buhardillas, chimeneas o
cualquier otra obstrucción que bloquee el flujo del agua de la lluvia desde el caballete del
techo.
Almacenamiento y desecho
