AAA is a tax exempt non-profit organization
registered in the USA and operating under
section 501(c) 3 of the IRS code. It is also
registered in Cameroon (auth. No
00174/A/MINAT/DAP/SDLP/SAC). It has
special consultative status with the United
Nations ECOSOC and the UN Department of
Information.
AAA’s work is based on 3 programmes:
“JUST KNOW” Campaign emphasizes:
 Knowledge of one’s body
 Knowledge that leads to behavior
change
 Knowledge that helps to visualize a
future without AIDS
“Health before Wealth” Concept promotes:
 Testing for HIV
 Clean hands ( hand washing stations)
 Clean water (drinking stations)
 Dignified toilets
 Fighting against Malaria (treated
mosquito bed nets)
 Vaccination
 Anti worms medicine
“Women’s economic autonomy”through our
Scholarship Programme. This scholarship
enables each teenage orphan girl to complete at
least a secondary, general or technical education
that will lead to financial and economic
autonomy, greatly reducing the risk of being
infected with HIV through sexual abuse and
violence.
At the end of AAA 20 years celebration, we realize that our years of community service were blessed by the
active presence of committed leaders, including Mildred Robbins Leet, Victor Anomah Ngu, Wangari
Maathai and Margaret Sanga of Cameroon who also just left us, on 12 November 2011. The impact of
the service of these exceptional leaders in working to make AIDS HISTORY is particularly felt just before
WORLD AIDS DAY and the commemoration of 30 years with AIDS.

la société civile africaine en générale et camerounaise en particulier !!!!!
Chers tous,
Dr SANGA est l’une des pionnières de la lutte contre le VIH au Cameroun et en Afrique.
.Elle a été l’une des premières qui a su rassembler les personnes infectées par le virus du
Dr Margaret SANGA
SIDA et leur apporter un soutien moral au moment où aucun médicament et aucune prise
en charge de l’infection à VIH était disponible, au moment où tout le monde rejetait les PVVIH. Elle a réussi,
par ses efforts personnels, à mettre en place à la SWAA, un modèle de prise en charge au bénéfice des PVVIH
démunies, modèle qui est resté unique au Cameroun à ce jour. Tout son souci au quotidien était les clients, les
.personnes infectées par le VIH et leurs familles, l’amélioration de leur prise en charge aussi bien médicale,
psychologique, morale que sociale.
La considération que Dr SANGA a toujours eu pour les autres, le respect, l’honnêteté et l’humilité font d’elle
une exception. Partout où elle est passée, Dr SANGA a laissé une image de grande femme, une dame de cœur,
sans rancune, traitant toute autre personne comme homme peu importe sa classe sociale et toujours au service
des plus démunies.
Présidente de la SWAA Littoral et vice présidente du Collectif Associatif du Littoral, Dr SANGA a SANS
AUCUN DOUTE les mérites d’avoir personnellement révolutionné la prise en charge du VIH au Cameroun.
