With nearly 30 years’ experience in the field of road risk prevention, Develter has succeeded in developing the leading simulator in the driving and road safety sector. The simulator combines safe driving and economical driving, while the use of eco-driving principles facilitates the application of safety measures. Special modules have also been developed for driving schools and HGV training centres. The Simulator This allows the user to drive freely in a particularly realistic and changing driving environment, in town, on the open road and on the motorway for hundreds of kilometres. We have taken great care in the quality of the graphics in order to provide a simulator that meets the most exacting users’ needs. The Vehicles The driving simulator circuits can be undertaken with different types of vehicles, from passenger cars through to traction vehicles, and even semi-trailers and buses. We have taken particular care with the physical design of the vehicles to try and get as close as possible to the real dynamic behaviour of the vehicle. It is therefore possible to reproduce and simulate the different types of motorisation (petrol, diesel, hybrid, electric) and all vehicle categories. France: Cécile Osberger +33 (0)1 30 48 55 29 / [email protected] North Europe: Pierre Laoureux +32 80 799 777 / [email protected] Actipôle - Bâtiment E – 130/136 avenue Joseph Kessel - 78960 Voisins le Bretonneux Label d'Excellence du Multimédia Européen – Platine CEBIT 2007 – Hanovre Latest-generation software Special Effects Effects such as the real-time adjustment of light according to time of day and shadow control lend realism to the simulation and make for better immersion. The trainer can thus choose the time of day and degree of natural light, and shadow control is in real-time. Weather conditions are controlled in the same way. It is thus possible to switch from a beautiful blue sky to rain, fog, snow and even recreate windy conditions, with the ability to adjust poor visibility and road grip accordingly. Highly-advanced Active Intelligence (AI) The vehicles encountered on the circuit are intelligent (AI). Realistic behaviour patterns have been integrated to enable them to react consistently to road signs, or when other AIs cross their paths and according to the behaviour and reactions of the simulator’s users. It is thus possible to experience road driving in real-life conditions. France: Cécile Osberger +33 (0)1 30 48 55 29 / [email protected] North Europe: Pierre Laoureux +32 80 799 777 / [email protected] Actipôle - Bâtiment E – 130/136 avenue Joseph Kessel - 78960 Voisins le Bretonneux Label d'Excellence du Multimédia Européen – Platine CEBIT 2007 – Hanovre Latest-generation software Accident Scenario Behaviour software Backed by our recognised skills in road risk prevention, we have been able to reproduce as realistically as possible nearly all accidents that can happen on the roads. You can do the following: 9 Use the pre-programmed situations, which allow you to follow the same circuit 10 times but with a variety of different accident situations. This functionality forces the driver to anticipate, instead of driving in the knowledge of what is about to happen. Several accident scenarios may occur on the same circuit. 9 Set the parameters of accident situations yourself so as to adapt them to your training programme, or the accidents that most frequently occur in your company or that relate to the trained population. 9 Allow the usert to drive freely around the desired environment. You therefore have the option to program accident scenarios in real time depending on the behaviour of the driver on the simulator. A powerful VCR function Analysing the driving situation and the driver’s reactions are a key component of making the trainee understand changes in behaviour. The VCR function records the entire circuit and the weather conditions. It is therefore possible to review the scene from the inside, from the outside with a rotating camera and to put yourself in another driver’s shoes to analyse the event from every angle. In the event of an accident, collision management helps to show the violence of the collision and make the user aware of the ensuing consequences. Behaviour tracking A black box records all data: acceleration, deceleration, centrifugal force, speed, gearbox ratio, impact speed, … The black box is connected to the VCR function to provide the instructor with all the information he might need for his instructional work. The highly realistic physical design of the vehicles contributes to reliable user data. Challenges can be arranged between drivers. Very soon, it will be possible to organise intra-company and intercompany challenges connected over the Internet. We will thus soon be able to organise the World Championship for the most economical Driver. New Generation compatible with 3D Relief The technology employed is compatible with 3D relief, all that is needed is 3D glasses to add depth to your training sessions. Initial assessment (included in basic offer) Initial assessment is conducted without the instructor. The proposed exercices are used to assess the student’s driving knowledge and capabilities. An accompanying voice-over guides them through the assessment. The proposed tests are directly related to the regulations, vehicle knowledge and car driving. Comprehensive printed feedback is given at the end of the assessment. Driving school software (included in the basic offer) You can use the driving simulator for self-training or group training. ¾ Stage I of PNF Many exercises are available to enable you to complete stage I of the PNF in its entirety. - Knowing the vehicle - Holding and turning the steering wheel - Starting and stopping - Using the gearbox The software will allow you to do the same exercises as in a car, or guide your students through them, but without stress or time loss. Your students will thus make much faster progress. ¾ Validation of learning This module is designed to enable you to leave the student alone on the simulator. Different exercises may be undertaken and provide a means of checking that the student has a thorough understanding of the driving basics in accordance with stage I of the PNF. The software is programmed to ensure that students are capable of driving their vehicles while staying in the correct lane, as well as starting and stopping the vehicle properly, and using the engine and gearbox correctly, etc… New Free driving (in town, on the open road and on the motorway) in the middle of intelligent traffic to get the student accustomed to real traffic conditions France: Cécile Osberger +33 (0)1 30 48 55 29 / [email protected] North Europe: Pierre Laoureux +32 80 799 777 / [email protected] Actipôle - Bâtiment E – 130/136 avenue Joseph Kessel - 78960 Voisins le Bretonneux Label d'Excellence du Multimédia Européen – Platine CEBIT 2007 – Hanovre Maneuvering software A comprehensive educational program for HGV driver training You can replicate maneuvers in conformity with the driving licence exam in HGV and public transport vehicles, as well as conduct loading platform operations and maneuvers in complex environments and learn to use a multiplestep gearbox and the retarder. The driver has 7 rear view mirrors and a rear-mounted camera to enable him to manœuvre in conditions replicating real-life situations. An especially powerful VCR function is used to analyse and dissect the act of driving to facilitate the student’s understanding of the manœuvre. ¾ Maneuvering licence - Checks - Handling - Maneuvers required by exam depending on size of the vehicle ¾ Docking - With or without vehicle parked - With cab swivelled to left or right ¾ Maneuvering in complex environments - Forward or reverse maneuvers - In traffic or in car parks - Use of multiple-step gearbox and retarder See the driving simulator in images on our website at www.develter.com France: Cécile Osberger +33 (0)1 30 48 55 29 / [email protected] North Europe: Pierre Laoureux +32 80 799 777 / [email protected] Actipôle - Bâtiment E – 130/136 avenue Joseph Kessel - 78960 Voisins le Bretonneux Label d'Excellence du Multimédia Européen – Platine CEBIT 2007 – Hanovre Develter and its Partners The national, European and International award-winning Develter Concept ¾ In 2003, 1st Prize in the International Road Safety Film Festival for the software program entitled ‘Référentiel de conduite’ (Driving reference guide), thus propelling the method to the ranks of European concept. ¾ March 2006, the Develter Group was awarded the Innovation Prize at the World Road Safety Film Festival, held in Geneva on 23 March 2006. ¾ March 2007, Develter Innovation was awarded the highest distinction: the European Multimedia Label of Excellence in the Platinum category, during CEBIT 2007 in Hanover.
