DECANTER – 2006
Aromatic almost floral nose, good yeast maturity and intensity. Pretty well made,
high Chardonnay, quite creamy, bright acids, long, drinkable 2 – 4 years.

This is called « Pur Chardonnay » on the front label. Bright gold. Deep, complex
and richy scented, with charry, toasty pear and apple aromas that are pungent but
finely etched, like hight class white Burgundy. The texture of this Champagne is
both thick and lively, a rare trick. Bright, high-pitched citrus and quince flavors are
framed by notes of sweet butter, smoke and dusty talc. The long, palate-staining
finish offers a haunting maple tone. On the basis of aroma, texture and depth, I
could easily have confused this wine with the current release of Dom Pérignon.

Good bubbles. Youthful appely fruit nose, slight hints of lees. Lively fresh fruit, slightly
tight yet with a fairly tart finish, but long. 2-6 years.
Recommended THE WORLD OF FINE WINE – 2008
N°2 champagne at the Michael Edwards’ tasting. “Deep golden hue. Soft toffee and
toast note with dried fruit and honey complexity. Round, rich, and mascular, with a
fine acidic back-bone. Gastronomic and impressive in its power, purity and
seamlessness. Does not necessarily require time, but will develop positively until
2020.

LES MEILLEURS VINS DE FRANCE - 2010
La Maison Henriot s’est fait une spécialité des champagnes droits, fins et «apéritifs»,
dominés par le chardonnay. La régularité, le niveau de précision des saveurs et la
race générale de la gamme ont conduit à une deuxième étoile en 2007 – confirmée
depuis. La maturité et la force de caractère des vins de base et des vins de réserve,
permettent ici des dosages sages. Jamais agressifs, les champagnes Henriot s’affirment
dans un style délicat et doux.

Yellow-gold. Rich toasty and leesy on the nose, with powerful poached pear, sea
salt and cured meat aromas accented by exotic blond tobacco. Full and rich, with
deep truffle and smoke notes adding complexity. Delicious and powerful
Champagne.

Here the expressive, complex and classy nose is beginning to reveal traces of
maturity with an intensely yeasty character that has a touch of baked apple and
spice to it that continues onto the delicious refined and rather masculine favors
that pack plenty of power, punch and finishing character on the impressively long

onctueux et fin : l’un des grands 1996 de Champagne.

Son nez est puissant, sur des notes de champignons et de racines de réglisse; des
notes tertiaires toujours en décalage avec une bouche très persistante, incisive, au
grain minéral légèrement sucré. ENOGEA - 2009
Naso ampio, naturale, segnato da un agrume succosissimo, da una sontuosa mineralità
iodata e da un’impeccabile maturità evolutiva (tartufo, pasticceria e tostatura). Al
palato è cremoso e granitico, compatto e aereo. Di persistenza devastante (per gli
altri). Il prototipo del grande Champagne da intenditori, di ricamo sartoriale, di
meravigliosa purezza territoriale. Da crostacei e «da solo».
Uve : chardonnay e pinot nero in parti più o meno uguali.
