France Banking activity - Nearing our 2014 target of 600,000 customers Once again ranked as “the least expensive bank” in September by Le Nouvel Observateur and Choisir-ma1 banque.com , Boursorama is continuing to develop vigorously on the French banking market: with 23,079 current accounts opened (+10 %) and 10,003 new savings accounts (+9 %), Boursorama Banque had 575,619 customers at the end of September 2014. Two thirds of the new current accounts were opened entirely on line, a proportion which validates Boursorama’s banking model and confirms how the use of banking services is evolving. The development of the customer base (24,116 new customers, or +10 %) was accompanied by sustained balance sheet progress to 4.25 billion euros (+10 %) with, particularly, a 27% increase in current account deposits. Collections on life assurance rose very fast this quarter (109 million euros, that is to say +121 % compared with the third quarter of 2013). It was typified by a high proportion of UC [units of account] (24%), derived especially from collections on offers of piloted management. Total outstanding debt increased by +15% to 3.2 billion euros. Outstanding debts on OPCVMs rose by +9 % to 872 million euros.
