Ritchie, Lloyd Allison - Lloyd A. Ritchie, Hillsborough Road, Riverview, passed
away suddenly at his residence on Tuesday, May 9, 2006. Born in Baltimore, Albert
Co on June 4, 1924, he was the son of the late Scott and Annie (Irving) Ritchie. He
retired from Barbour Company (Reed Wholesalers) in Moncton in 1989, prior to
that he worked at Dominion Stores. He was a proud gardener, enthusiastic bowler
and a member of the Air Force Vets Club, where he and his brother, Scott enjoyed
their pool games every week. An active member and Steward of The Lower
Coverdale United Church, he was involved in many activities, and was known to be
an expert with the vacuum cleaner. He and Olive enjoyed travelling including trips
to Israel, Dorveal, Hawaii, and Trinidad, etc., and many trips to Saskatchewan to visit
Olive's family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Above all he loved
being with his family and enjoyed family reunions. He is survived by his wife of 54
years, Olive Ritchie; daughters, Pamela Fraser (David) of Moncton, Charlene Whalen
of Riverview, Colleen Ritchie of Riverview; sons, Rodney Ritchie (Sandra) of
Quispamsis and Stephen Ritchie (Jennifer) of Riverview; eight grandchildren, Scott
Ritchie, Heidi Ritchie, Jarin Whalen, Cara Fraser, David Fraser, Rebekah Ritchie,
Jonathan Ritchie and Matthew Ritchie; sisters, Audrey Seeley of Moncton, Mina
Steeves (Lotan) of Petitcodiac, Sheila Lund (Cameron) of Riverview, Jean Allen
(Herman) of Moncton, Prudence Harmer (Bill) of Havelock, Carole Hendy (Ronnie)
of Riverview, and Donna Steeves (Charles) of Mississauga, ON; sister-in-law, Shirley
Ritchie of Riverview; brothers, Scott Ritchie (Doris), and Greg Ritchie (Carol) both of
Riverview; also by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was
predeceased by his brother, Vernon. Resting at Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine
Glen Road, visiting on Thursday, May 11, 2006 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to
9:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held at The Riverview Funeral Home on Friday,
May 12, 2006 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Carol Mullin officiating. Interment will be in
Wesleyan Union Cemetery. In Lloyd's memory, donations made to The Lower
Coverdale United Chuch or the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated
by the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Riverview Funeral

subitement à son domicile le mardi 9 mai 2006. Né à Baltimore, Albert Co le 4 juin
1924, il était le fils de Scott fin et Annie (Irving) Ritchie. Il prit sa retraite de la
compagnie Barbour (grossistes Reed) à Moncton en 1989, auparavant il avait
travaillé aux magasins Dominion. Il était un jardinier fier, un enthousiaste des jeux
de quilles et un membre du Club de vétérinaires de la Force aérienne, où lui et son
frère, Scott apprécié leur partie de jeux de billards chaque semaine. Un membre
actif de l'église The Lower Coverdale United Church, il a participé à de nombreuses
activités et était connu pour être un expert avec l'aspirateur. Lloyd et Olive aimait
voyager y compris les voyages en Israël, Dorveal, Hawaii et Trinidad, etc. et de
nombreux voyages en Saskatchewan pour visiter la famille d'Olive. Il était un mari,
un père et un grand-père très dévoué. Avant tout, il aimait être avec sa famille et
appréciait les réunions de famille.
Il laisse dans le deuil sa femme de 54 ans, Olive Ritchie ; ses filles, Pamela Fraser
(David) de Moncton, Charlene Whalen de Riverview, Colleen Ritchie de Riverview ;
ses fils, Rodney Ritchie (Sandra) de Quispamsis et Stephen Ritchie (Jennifer) de
Riverview ; huit petits-enfants, Heidi Ritchie, Jarin Whalen, Cara Fraser, David
Fraser, Scott Ritchie, Rébecca Ritchie, Jonathan Ritchie et Matthew Ritchie ; ses
sœurs, Audrey Seeley de Moncton, Mina Steeves (Lotan) de Petitcodiac, Sheila Lund
(Cameron) de Riverview, Jean Allen (Herman) de Moncton, Prudence Harmer (Bill)
de Havelock, Carole Hendy (Ronnie) de Riverview et Donna Steeves (Charles), de
Mississauga, en Ontario ; sa belle-sœur, Shirley Ritchie de Riverview ; ses frères
Scott Ritchie (Doris) et Greg Ritchie (Carol) les deux de Riverview ; également par
plusieurs neveux et nièces. Outre ses parents, il a été précédé dans la tombe par son
frère, Vernon.
Le service funéraire aura lieu à Riverview Funeral Home, 214 chemin Pine Glen,
visite le jeudi 11 mai 2006 02:00 à 16:00 et 07:00 à 21:00. La célébration a été
présidée par Rev. Carol Mullin, à Riverview, le vendredi 12 mai 2006 à 13h30.
L'inhumation se fera au cimetière de Wesleyan Union. En mémoire de Lloyd, un don
à l’église Wesleyan Union ou In Memoriam serait apprécié par la famille. Les
