Why is my
clutch grabbing?
Sometimes a clutch responds imprecisely or it catches. The scooter
jumps forward or the clutch catches when you start driving. The
clutch no longer has a biting point.
• Clutch friction or plain plates getting jammed -> re-grind / de-burr
• Clutch friction or plain plates worn out -> replace
• Guiding grooves in the basket are worn out -> replace
• Clutch base plate torn
• Thrust washer worn out or forgotten on installation
• Bushing worn out or torn
• Wrong or too little oil
