From vultures
to border Peaks
Excursion to the Petit
Train d’Artouste
• Visit the Cliff of Vultures. In the village of Aste
Béon, at the foot of the Natural Reserve of Ossau, the
Cliff to Vultures, a unique observatory, invites you to
discover our great Pyrenean raptors and the lives of
our shepherds. Guided tour, film vultures…
• Departure from the Lac de Fabrèges’ gondola. To
access the start of the Petit Train at 2 000 m height.
Breathtaking views of the Lac de Fabrèges and the
Pic du Midi d’Ossau.
• Lunch.

• Journey from France to Spain. Guided by a professional,
you discover the Valley : its history, its landscapes (Pic

• Visit a salting in a sheepfold, welcome by the
shepherd, cheese tasting and sale.
• Departure from the Lac de Fabrèges’ gondola. To

• Petit Train d’Artouste Tour. The Petit Train
d’Artouste takes you over 10 km of track, through the
mountain, to discover some beautiful landscapes :
fields of rhododendrons and Pyrenean flowers, views
of the most beautiful peaks : the Pic du Midi d’Ossau,
the Palas, Ariel, the Lurien, overhang the listed site
of Soussouéou, see the marmots and discover the
azure lake of Artouste. 50 minutes of a magical and
enchanting journey...
