Despite some progress, women scientists and engineers are still paid less, promoted less frequently, win fewer grants and are more likely to leave research than similarly qualified men. – Why? - When you think of IT professionals, you probably imagine a man. Why? - Although teenage girls are now using computers and the Internet at rates similar to their male peers, they are five times less likely to consider a technology-related career or plan on taking post-secondary technology classes.
