On 8 June 2015, the Régent Petite France,
located in the heart of the old town, opened
its Pavillon in an old Alsatian house opposite.
Built over water in 1600, this building notably
housed the Napoleonic baths between 1809
and 1870. It is a half-timbered house, so
characteristic of the Petite France district
where once tanners, millers and fishermen
lived.
The renovation took 15 months of
work and has successfully revived
the soul of the building. A former
wash house, dating from 1890, also
remains just above the water
surface. Its 17 rooms in a
contemporary chic style preserve
the charm of the building by
highlighting its original structure, and
especially its wooden beams.
