How to reach Liège?
From Charleroi Brussels South airport
When you land at the airport, you can buy at the airport ticket desk a “bulk” ticket. This ticket cost 10,50€ and
includes the bus and the train ride. Take the A bus line outside the airport until Namur train station or the 68 bus line.
Every hour, for example at 14:00, there is a train that goes directly to Liege-Guillemins, but if you arrive later you can
always take one to go Bruxelles-Midi, and there change to another one that goes to Eupen, and it stops also in LiegeGuillemins. It’s easier that it seems!
Taxi cabs are always available outside the passenger terminal. Taxi drivers will help you and may offer you a fixed
price to your destination. Do not hesitate to ask.

From Brussels National Airport
Take the train to Bruxelles-Nord railway station (direction: Leuven) and there change to another one which stops at
Liège-Guillemins. The airport train station is located below the terminal (basement level-1). Up to 4 trains an hour
connects the airport to Brussels North, Brussels Central and Brussels Midi stations. Moreover there are direct train
services to the East, South and West of Belgium.
This is the better option, but you can also go to Brussels by bus (less than 2€) or taxi (35€), and take later the train.
The bus station is located on level 0 - one floor down from the arrivals hall - and can be easily reached by using the
escalators or elevators. Centrally located on the bus station there are three platforms each with its specific use. Bus
Company De Lijn operates express bus services to railway station Brussels North (line 471).
From Liège Airport:
By taxi: LIÈGE AIRPORT has an agreement with UNITAX. Cost: €20 € to the centre of Liège – Call free from the
airport. By bus: TEC bus No. 85 or 53 (the bus stop is 800 m from the airport)

From Luxemburg and Maastricht:
These two airports are outside Belgium, but really close to his borders, so are easily another two options.
Luxembourg.
For going from the airport to the railway station or the city centre, you can take a city bus no.16 that leaves every 15
minutes (± 25 minutes. Cost: 1.50 €), or a taxi just outside the airport building (15 to 25 € until the city centre)
It exists the "Omnibus-Verkehr Becker", a bus service called "Airport Liner" to and from Trier in Germany (± 40
minutes. Cost: 12 €, but not every day)
Maastricht-Aachen.
From the airport to Maastricht downtown: Hermes-bus, line 61, (on Sundays: line 51), or Interliner 420 or 421. In
both options, you’ll have to take a train direction to Liege.
Arrive to Liege by train:
From Paris with Thalys taking the line Paris - Bruxelles – Cologne
From Frankfurt and Cologne with ICE taking the line Frankfurt – Bruxelles
From London with Eurostar until Bruxelles Midi and later with an Intercity until Liège (same price)

To arrive to the Holiday Inn hotel you can go by foot (15 min. from the train station) or using bus line 17 (it will take 5
min by bus, and the stop it’s just in from of the train station main door).
From the train station in Liège (Liège-Guillemins) to the old city you can take lines 1 and 4.
