The story started in 1983 with one-off prototype constructions. We wanted to meet the demands of crazy people from all over the world for an innovative and original design. Racing, Tourer, MX, SM, Maniac, Easy Rider, and finally, in 2001, we introduced the VYRUS PROJECT. Many ‘artists’ contributed to this achievement; Dervis Macrelli, Matthew Casey, Pietro di Zinno, Sam Matthews, Riccardo Testaverde, Jacopo e Matteo Parenti, Marco Paolucci. All of these people have a passion for their work and an incredible story to tell – a worldwide story. Good background knowledge, technical competence and a fantastic philosophy are the right musical ingredients for our customers’ soul sensation. a collection of images, Special thanks to: our Land, Romagna, and the fantastic Tagliatella Sangiovese wine our passion & fantasy Adriatic Sea & Appennino Mountains friends & enemy industry & company involved Coffee Music Sam Simone But.. maybe they don’t look so serious? 984c3 2v The idea was to discover a sports bike for dreamers; smart, fast as a flash on corners and the lightest sports bike ever produced. Named after the first engine mounted on the prototype, 984 C3 2V, the Vyrus is now powered by the new 1000DS, which has Euro 2 homologation. Many optional parts are available for customers to add their own personal touch. Each bike is unique, hand made in Italy and personalised for each owner. Constructed with a new philosophy: maximum control of power and 150kg of weight. The steering system and the exclusive personality of each bike gives its owner a sensation of emotions. The “Piadina” design is a new style. It’s very easy to understand the simple cleancut lines of this creative technology and wealth of technical parts. Individually styled it provides a unique appeal for a new culture of motorcyclists. Easy handling is the trend of this bike and of all our future projects … what more? 985c3 4v The idea behind the 985 c3 4v was to create a motorcycle that not only compliments the average rider but also has enough power to satisfy the most extreme enthusiast, in our mind the ultimate sports bike. By using the Ducati 999R testastretta engine we are able to produce a bike with 150 Bhp weighing only 157 Kg, figures like this have never been seen before on a production motorcycle. At the same time we are able to maintain the outstanding handling characteristics of the 984c3 2v together with the extra power this delivers a bike that is beyond conventional conception Research & Development: The Riders Gianluca Villa, Francesco Fontanot, Francesco Contigliozzi, Riccardo Ricci, Gianmaria Liverani, Doriano Ballarini, Roberto Panichi, Danilo Marrancone. race Technical Specifications Technical Specifications Engine type Number of cylinders Bore Stroke Displacement Compression ratio Lubrication system Cooling system Power Valve gear Clutch Gearbox Fuel injection Front suspension Engine type Number of cylinders Bore Stroke Displacement Compression ratio Lubrication system Cooling system Power Valve gear Clutch Gear box Fuel injection Front suspension Rear suspension Frame Steering Trail Front brake Rear brake Front tyre size Rear tyre size Dry weight Tank capacity Wheelbase Rear suspension Frame Steering Trail Front brake Rear brake Front tyre size Rear tyre size Dry weight Tank capacity Wheelbase 4 stroke 2 L shaped 90° 94 mm 71.5 mm 992 cc 10:1 forced by pump at gear Air cooled 90,5 hp Two valve Desmo system Dry multiple disk 6 speed Electronic EFI euro 1 Progressive link Double system fully adjustable Direct Double system fully adjustable Double omega design From 18° to 24° From 80 mm to 106 mm 320 mm Twin floating disks 210 mm single disk 120 75 zr 17 – mt 3.50 180 50 zr 17 – j 5.50 150 kg 16 litres 1365 4 stroke 2 L shaped 90° 104 mm 58.8 mm 999 cc 11.9:1 Forced by pump at gear Water cooled 150 Bhp 4 valve Desmo system Dry multiple disk 6 speed Electronic EFI euro 1 Progressive link Double system Direct Double system Double omega design From 18° to 24° From 80 mm to 105 mm 320 mm twin floating disks 210 mm single disk 120 75 zr 17 – mt 3.50 190 50 zr 17 - j 5.50 157 kg 14,5 litres 1375 mm VYRUSdivisione motori Company details Staff & contacts Marketing Giacomo Pielich Marco Garavelli Nicola Sacchetti [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] Vyrus Divisione Motori s.r.l. via La Pastora, 66 - 47852 Cerasolo Ausa - Rimini Phone +39 0541 729954 Fax +39 0541 759837 Web Site www.vyrus.it E-mail [email protected] Technical Services Giuseppe de Gruttola David Rodorigo Marco Bufarini Dervis Macrelli [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] Design Ascanio Rodorigo Roberta Piscaglia [email protected] [email protected] Photo Chiko de Luigi
