Dear Future Bride & Groom,
Congratulations on your engagement and thank you for considering Le Manoir de Brendel as the perfect
wedding venue for your celebration. Memorable and affordable weddings have been hosted at this
magnificent wedding venue over the years. It will be a joy to create a wedding that you will remember for
the rest of your lives – Le Manoir de Brendel will be there every step of the way. With spectacular views of
the Klein Drakenstein Mountains, and the vineyards your wedding pictures will have a classical & elegant
touch, capturing your special day, to cherish forever.
CEREMONY
Book our Chapel to have your friends and family witnessing your union. It can seat up to 50 guests inside
or we can add more chairs on the wooden patio entrance behind the chapel pews. Or perhaps opt for a
Garden affair Bedouin Style or under our Garden Gazebo. There is also the Wooden Deck built across the
Berg River for the Adventurous, seating up to 80 people.
RECEPTION
Couples can choose from a variety of venues for your reception: The Cellar Barn can seat up to 60 guests
(no dancing space) or 40 (ample dancing space) or choose the garden/marquees venue option for up to 120
guests. The garden (can seat up to 60 guests under our leafy oak trees) or the elevated dining room patio
(seating up to 50 guests) is another magical option under our Franschhoek starry summer evenings. For
small indoor functions of up to 20 guests, there is the Dining Room. Le Manoir de Brendel produces top
wines and our exquisite catering company offers a wide range of delectable menus.
ACCOMMODATION
Our guests have the choice of 9 luxurious suites with exclusive ambiance. The atmosphere varies from
room to room. All suites are serviced daily and equipped with air conditioners, direct dial telephones, MNet, mini-bars, coffee and tea making facilities, safes for valuables, hairdryers, gowns, slippers and luxury
bathroom amenities as well as 24 hour security. For each room booked there is a complimentary bottle of
wine.
Our Honeymoon Suite is spacious, luxurious with a patio overlooking mountain and vineyards and the
indulgence of a spa bath while enjoying your complimentary bottle of wine.

LMB Extra Charges:
1. All function food from Allora Restaurant - menus supplied. Crew food will be included in your
bill. Children under 12 years are charged half price of adult price or request a kid’s menu
2. 10% Service Fee charged on all Food & Beverages, calculated after the function
3. 10% Bill Handling Fee charged on all suppliers, food included, that we have to arrange and settle
payments from our side

Terms & Conditions:
Payments:
1. Your booking will be considered provisional for a period of 14 days. Please let us know if you need
more time and we will gladly keep the date for as long as possible if no other enquiries come in.
2. To confirm a venue booking we require receipt of your 50% deposit of the venue hire fee calculated
on the estimated amount of guests or the Exclusive package chosen and your agreement completed
and sent to us.
*The outstanding balance of the Venue hire fee or Exclusive Package is payable 30 days prior to the
wedding function.
3. 50% Deposit on accommodation, estimated food bill and other suppliers, billed through us, is
payable 30 days prior to the function date.
*The full balance is payable 14 days prior to the function date when final numbers must also be
confirmed.
4. Please make sure to email/fax us the above agreement form along with your deposit slips/proof of
all payments. Keep your paper trail in order - it keeps the nerves in check.
5. The deposit and the date originally booked can only be transferred to another date depending on
availability.
6. All our invoices include Vat of 14%.
7. All orders handled by us and bills settled on behalf of the client, including food, will be charged
directly to you with a 10% handling fee surcharge.
8. Other Accommodation booked, not in Exclusive Packages: It is advised to book accommodation
well in advance and a deposit of 50% 30 days before arrival to confirm bookings . The full
outstanding balance is payable 7 days prior to check-in. Check in time is 14h00 or by prior
arrangement, subject to availability. Availability of accommodation cannot be guaranteed.
9. The final balance of the amount due, which includes, after hours surcharge, the beverage bill and a
10% Food & Beverage Service Fee can only be calculated after the function.

Cancellations:
Wedding Rates & Package Fees:
Less than a 3 month written cancellation, all deposits will be retained by Le Manoir de Brendel and other suppliers as
liquidated damages and discretion will be used regarding outside suppliers’ terms & conditions for refunds. We will
refund our Wedding fee deposit if we can fill the date with another fully paid for function, less a R1 000 handling fee.
Accommodation:
 Cancellations made between 30 and 15 days before arrival, 25% of accommodation amount is payable
 Cancellations made between 14 and 7 days of arrival, a cancellation fee of 50% of the total contracted tariff
will apply
 Cancellations made within 7 or less days of arrival or in the event of a premature departure or no show, the
full accommodation amount is charged

4. 3 months prior - Menu Supplier & Menu Price established & 50% deposit on estimated guests
5. 3 months prior decide on table and chair choices for us to secure bookings with our suppliers
6. 30 days prior to function - Menu choices finalised
7. 14 days prior to function - Final number of guests and table seating plan as well as meal break-down with
names as regards to different meals must be confirmed in writing in order to facilitate catering & other
arrangements
8. Photographer, musician, reverend etc. to be included in the number of guests. No credit for non-arrivals
9. 14 days prior - Final Time Agenda of ceremony & function sent to us
10. Weather – Le Manoir de Brendel reserves the right to use our own discretion to move ceremony & function
indoors if we consider the weather conditions to be unsuitable for outside
11. We will make every effort to make your day a success, therefore, in order to avoid confusion and
misunderstandings, persons not involved in the final co-ordination meeting, should not make changes on the
day of the wedding and ALL changes must be in writing
12. A final rooming list with arrival / departure details must be submitted 14 days prior to the arrival date
13. Regrettably we cannot make rooms available to wedding guests to get dressed, as the rooms are serviced and
ready for other guest check-ins
14. Normal check-in times, 14h00, are applicable to wedding guests who have booked accommodation.
However, we will make every effort to accommodate early check-ins, subject to rooms being serviced and
departure times of previous guests checking. Departure time is 11h00.
15. Under no circumstances will guests be allowed to bring their own wine/drinks onto our premises, whether it
be for consumption, table gifts or otherwise unless corkage fees apply
16. Please discuss ‘stunts’ & huge décor objects with management to ensure that no damage is done to the venue
17. Décor and set-up to be completed 2 hours prior to the schedule time of commencement of the function
18. All décor and flowers on tables will be removed by staff and must be collected no later than the following
Monday 10h00, unless by prior arrangement with management
19. Le Manoir de Brendel does not accept responsibility for any loss or inconvenience due to power failures or
natural causes
20. All damage to the venue, cutlery, crockery, linen, glasses and furniture as well as all extra wine and over time
will be charged directly to the client and must be paid on the day of the wedding
21. The Owners, Management and Staff members do not take any responsibility for any of the guests or host’s
belongings or any injury, damage or loss suffered by any persons, and damage to any such belongings and
the host waives any claim it may have
