DATA SHEET THE PRODUCT The aeraulic pipe sealing system consisting of a plaster tape (textile support + plaster based coating) and a light grey coloured glue in aqueous solution. Plaster tape reference : 240352. Dimensions : plaster tape roll 90 linear meters long x 7.5 cm wide. UTILISATION Sealing of aeraulic pipes in : - Connection - Heating - Air conditioning - Ventilation - Mechanically controlled ventilation (MCV) - Roof-top - High-speed circuits - Glass wool (FIB-AIR) - Protection of hot and cold water pipe insulations APPLICATION Adheres perfectly to all smooth or porous materials. Examples : - Aluminium or galvanised steel sheet metal (even not degreased) - Plastics - Polyvinyl film - Kraft paper / aluminium complex - Glass - Wood - Plaster - Cement TECHNICAL DATA Perfect sealing. Resistance in the temperature range : -25°C to +90°C. Behaviour under low, medium and high pressure. PACKAGING Plaster tape Roll : 90 linear meters long x 7.50 cm wide - under plastic film - protective cardboard box. Glue Can : 3.8 liters. Average utilisation A plaster tape roll of 90 lm for a glue can of 3.8 liters. IMPLEMENTATION The ambient temperature during gluing must be higher than 0°C, and ideally between 5°C and 25°C. Pipe protected from bad weather Cut the tape length corresponding to the joint’s developed section to be made increased by 10 centimeters to allow for overlaying. Using a 4 – 6 cm wide paint brush, apply a coat of AERAUSTOP glue to the tape. To have a perfectly clean sealing, do not apply an excess amount of adhesive to the tape. To do this, the adhesive coat will be applied slightly retracted from the tape edges. Apply the glue-coated tape to the joint by strongly pressing down to drive out the air and ensure a good contact. Pipe exposed to bad weather Proceed as indicated in the above paragraph, but once the tape is in place, reapply a second coat of AERAUSTOP adhesive to the tape’s exposed side. This coat when dried will form a protective film rendering the joint perfectly sealed. Drying time The adhesive / tape assembly is dry after 24 hours. Wait for this drying time to elapse before placing the installation in operation. In addition, before this time elapses, avoid handling parts connected to the AERAUSTOP system.
