dettaglio i risvolti dell’operazione e i futuri sviluppi sono, in particolare, The
Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal e Le Figaro.
Abstract of the article “CEO Marchionne says Chrysler
and Fiat balance sheets to merge as integration intensifies”
On The Washington Post, May 25th 2011
“Fiat now owns 46 percent of Chrysler
and is set to reach 51 percent by the end of the years”
“The balance sheets of carmakers Fiat and Chrysler will be consolidated next week as
part of the deepening integration of the two automakers, the two companies’ CEO Sergio
Marchionne said Wednesday.” (…)
“«The market demand for the financing was over $11 billion. It tells you the depth of the
markets in North America. It makes it a lot easier to manage industrial operations when
you’ve got that kind of backing from the capital markets», Marchionne said. He has
previously said the IPO could come at the end of this year, beginning of next, but refused
to be pinned down.” (…)

Abstract of the article “Fiat to consolidate Chrysler results”
Written by Jeff Bennett
On The Wall Street Journal, May 25th 2011
“CEO Sergio Marchionne wants a single team to oversee Chrysler and Fiat”
“Chrysler group LCC repaid $7.6 billion in U.S. and Canadian government loans in a
refinancing that saves hundreds of millions of dollars in annual interest expense and
makes Italy’s Fiat SpA its largest shareholder.” (…)
“«The loans gave us a rare second chance to demonstrate what the people of this
company can deliver», Sergio Marchionne added in a statement. Mr. Marchionne, who
also is CEO of Fiat, said the two companies would increase their sharing of powertrains
and other technology. The Auburn Hills, Mich., auto maker said it made payments of
$5.9 billion to the U.S. Treasury and $1.7 billion to Canada to retire the loans it received
during its bankruptcy process in 2009.” (…)

Abstract of the article “Chrysler tourne symboliquement la page de sa faillite”
Written by Cyrille Pluyette
On Le Figaro, May 25th 2011
