Europ Assistance - Global Corporate Solutions (GCS) is the division dedicated to International
Corporations, Institutions and Global Organizations, Insurers and Health Carriers. GCS is able to provide
worldwide Remote Medical & Security Services, Business Travel Risk Management and International TPA
& Cost Containment Services.
GCS has established a partnership with an air charter company for the provision of air ambulance services.
GCS will provide medical and logistics coordination and inflight medical care. The air ambulance aircraft is
positioned in Pointe Noire.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The flight physician will be responsible for coordinating, preparing and providing of medical evacuation by
Air Ambulance. He will work in close association with the air charter company, the local medical staff and
the GCS Alarm Center. During medical evacuations, he will be assisted by a local registered nurse.
Responsibilities as Flight Desk Officer:
Sales support and medical coordination
o Ensure H24/7 answer to the Medico Rescue dedicated quotation request phone number
o Log any medevac request into 3AT
o Run regular air ambulance medical coordination tasks, such as assessing possibility to
transport paediatric/infant patient, facilitating admissions to the appropriate medical facility,
sending regular medical reports about patient’s condition to requester/FDO, etc.

Management of the local nurses
o Selection of a pool of local nurses
o Build and maintain the roster of availabilities
Medical services and in-flight technical responsibilities:
o Assess the nature and extent of illness or injury to prioritize the care needed for the safe
transport of the critical patient to the appropriate facility.
o Provide adequate care from the initial contact until patient care is relinquished to the
accepting medical facility.
o Maintain patient care documentation and inflight medical record
o Provide monitoring and treatment of the patient throughout the medical transport
Maintenance of the medical equipment and supplies
o Assure proper use, maintenance and repair of medical equipment and supplies
o Assure a strict inventory and supply before and after each mission
o Participate in the evaluation of new equipment / supplies
Reporting

After each mission, send the inflight medical record to the client and to the Alarm Center
In relationship with the Corporate assistance department in Paris HQ, establish the
monthly activity report.

Supervise l’activité du service des urgences et coordonne les équipes médicales et
paramédicales.
Est responsable de tous les patients admis dans le box de déchoquage.
Assure les consultations médicales, les soins et la surveillance des patients se présentant
aux urgences et aux consultations externes et dont l’état de santé nécessite une attention
particulière.
Coordonne toutes les évacuations sanitaires des patients pris en charge dans le service
des urgences
Assure le suivi des patients adressés aux médecins spécialistes dans la clinique et dans
tout autre établissement de santé partenaire.
Supervise les procédures de tests particuliers : surveillance chimio prophylaxie
antipaludéenne, tests drogue et alcool, etc.
Supervise la formation continue des employés du service des urgences (médecins et
infirmiers).
Assiste aux réunions d’équipes et de management où un personnel médical doit être
impliqué, et participe à toutes les activités en découlant.
Assure le contrôle et l’amélioration continue de la qualité des services médicaux de la
clinique et doit régulièrement reporter ses analyses et conclusions au département des
opérations médicales sur site.
Assure un support médicotechnique aux équipes parisiennes d’Europ Assistance dans la
mise en place du projet de la future clinique CMC Medico basée à Brazzaville.
Administration et management

Supervision du personnel médical du service des urgences: plannings, formation,
évaluations, etc.

Gestion des dossiers et documents médicaux.
Supervision des formalités requises en médecine du travail : accident du travail, maladie
professionnelle, arrêt ou restriction de travail.
Gestion et supervision de tous les équipements médicaux du service des urgences avec
une attention particulière sur la maintenance préventive.
Gestion de l’ambulance et entretien.
Interface avec les hôpitaux locaux et les structures de soins.
Préparation et mise à jour de toutes les procédures requises par le Client.
Préparation de tous les rapports requis par le Client, sur la base des procédures
préétablies.
Prépare les données de reporting de l'activité du service des urgences et du service des
ambulances.
PROFILE
Qualifications:





Emergency medicine doctor;
Minimum 3 years critical care/emergency;
Good knowledge of flight medicine;
Fluent English and French;
Good knowledge of information systems.
