General product information
:
These capacitors are Motor start capacitors with Aluminium cans with phenolic plastic cover. The
dielectric material used is Etched and formed super purity Aluminium Foils, formed at particular
voltage. The electrolyte is Mono Ethelene Glycote base. The mounting screw is the optional
component for the mounting of the capacitors. The construction technology, voltage rating, climatic
class, kind of intended use, Toge tolerance, and the appearance of all the capacitors tisted lre similar
except the rated capacitance value. These capacitors are provided with insulated wires for
connection.
Hence the capacitors with highest and lowest rated capacitance values were selected for the type
tests according to clause 6.',.3.2 of the standard ,EC 60252-2.
ln this report, the highest value of the rated capacitance is 22s pF
The lowest value of the rated capacitance is 60 pF
However, the marking and visual inspection was carried on all capacitors.
These capacitors are provided with discharge device, which will bring down the voltage to less than
50V within 1 minute after disconnection from the supply. These capaiitors can be supptieO without
this device also.
The capacitance ratings are 60, u,T2,Bo, go, 1oo, 110, 120,13s,140, 160, 17s,2oo,and225yF
The ratio of the capacitance per outer surface area of the case of 0.41 to i.15 pm/cmz.
