FISE World Montpellier Opening at Le Grau du Roi,
Hérault, France

The Wakesurf World Cup will take place this week-end April 30th and May 1st 2016
Next week-end FISE World Montpellier Opening will take place at the south shipping
channel in the south area of Le Grau du Roi Port Camargue. For the first time, FISE
Opening will highlight the Wakesurf and welcome a Gold Star Event of the World Series
of Wakesurfing in France, 3 days before the big event in Montpellier gathering more than
550 000 people.

Friday, April 29th (Registration & Training)
1.00 pm - 4.30 pm: Registration starts for Outlaw, Masters riders, Pro, Amateurs

Saturday April 30th (Qualifications)
9.00 am - 10.00 am: Registration starts for Outlaw, Masters riders, Pro, Amateurs

Sunday May 1st (Finals)

KEENAN FLEGEL – The World Champion
20 years old - Florida - USA
5 x World Champion of wakesurf !
He grew up in Deerfield Beach in Florida, and spent most of his
time in the sea. He is taking part of wakeboard contests since 2007
and won his first championship when he was 14. From this time he
won 5 world titles. He is also coaching this discipline.

ASHLEY KIDD -The extrême surf rider
22 years old - Texas - USA
Ashley is the feminine touch of the competition. She loves surf,
yoga, snowboard and is now living her passion : wakesurfing. In
2009, she started pro competition ; in 2010, she arrived 2nd at the
Wakesurf World Cup, in the amateur women category. She is
known for her aggressive style, but also for having a real
champion soul and for being very passionate.

SEBASTIEN BALLAND - Le frenchy
24 ans - Juvigny - France
Currently riding for Black Revolt, Mastercraft France and Agenda
Surf, he was the first european to join the Wakesurf US team,
INLAND SURFER. Winner of the European Championship, the
rider continues his ascent and he is aiming the World Series. He
is also sponsored by the wakesurf brand BLACK REVOLT.
Sebastien Balland began as a wakeboarder, but after a shoulder
injurie, he started Wakesurfing in 2009. Sebastien likes to share
his passion with the youth by organizing wakesurfing camp.

GREG SEVIN - THE LOCAL RIDER
28 ans - Montpellier - France
Greg Sevin practices Wakeboard with a boat for 9 years, and is also
Wake operator at La Grande Motte Wakepark. In 2015, he has done a
podium in the FISE wakeboard amateur category. This year, he is part
of the pro category. He practices Wakesurfing since 3 years and is a
real passionate. His good deal to progress? Searching new spots by
travelling in Thailand, Philippines or somewhere else….
