Claudio Fernández-Aráoz, basé à Buenos Aires,
est un conseiller principal d’Egon Zehnder et a
été membre de son comité exécutif mondial
pendant plus de dix ans. Il a fondé la pratique
d'évaluation de cadres de l’entreprise et a assumé
le leadership du développement professionnel, de
la gestion du développement intellectuel et de la
gestion des talents. Il est un expert mondial
reconnu en ce qui a trait au talent et leadership et
a été classé à plusieurs reprises par BusinessWeek
comme l'un des consultants les plus influents en
recherche de cadres dans le monde.
Claudio Fernández-Aráoz, based in Buenos
Aires, is a senior adviser of the firm and was a
member of its global executive committee for
more than ten years. He founded the firm’s
management appraisal practice and served as
global leader of its professional development,
people processes, and intellectual capital
development. He is a top global expert on
talent and leadership and has been repeatedly
ranked by BusinessWeek as one of the most
influential executive search consultants in the
world.
Claudio est un conférencier chevronné au sein du
milieu des affaires et du milieu académique en
Amérique, Europe et Asie. Plusieurs PDG de
grandes entreprises mondiales ainsi que de
nombreux gouvernements progressistes ont fait
appel à ses idées et à ses conseils judicieux. Il est
l'auteur de It's Not the How or the What but the Who
(Harvard Business Review Press, 2014), Great People
Decisions (Wiley, 2007), et a publié plusieurs
articles à succès sur le sujet de People Decisions
dont les articles du Harvard Business Review :
“Hiring without Firing", " The Definitive Guide to
Recruiting in Good Times and Bad”, “How to Hang On
to Your High Potentials”, et l’article en page
couverture de l’édition de juin 2014 “21st Century
Talent Spotting”. Avant de se joindre à Egon
Zehnder en 1986, il a travaillé chez McKinsey &
Company en Europe.
Claudio is a frequent keynote speaker at
business gatherings in the Americas, Europe,
and Asia, as well as at leading management
schools. His personal advice has been sought
by the CEOs of major global companies, as
well as by many progressive governments. He is
the author of It's Not the How or the What but
the Who (Harvard Business Review Press,
2014), Great People Decisions (Wiley, 2007),
and has published several bestselling articles on
the topic of People Decisions. These include
the Harvard Business Review articles “Hiring
Without Firing,” “The Definitive Guide to
Recruiting in Good Times and Bad,” “How to
Hang On to Your High Potentials,” and the
June 2014 cover article “21st Century Talent
Spotting”. Before joining Egon Zehnder in
1986, he worked at McKinsey & Company in
Europe.
Claudio a obtenu une maîtrise en sciences en
génie industriel de l'Université catholique
argentine (médaille d'or) et un MBA de
l'Université de Stanford, où il s'est distingué en
tant que Arjay Miller Scholar.
Claudio earned a Masters in Science in
Industrial Engineering from the Argentine
Catholic University (Gold Medal) and an MBA
from Stanford University, where he graduated
with honors as an Arjay Miller Scholar.

with the best.
Manuvie a nommé Charles Guay à son poste actuel
lorsqu’elle a acquis les activités canadiennes de la
Standard Life en janvier dernier. M. Guay était président
et chef de la direction de la Standard Life au Canada
depuis 2012. Il y a assuré la croissance des trois
principaux secteurs d’affaires de l’entreprise, soit les
régimes d’épargne et de retraite collectifs, l’assurance
collective et les solutions d’investissement individuelles.
M. Guay possède une vaste expérience des services
financiers. Avant de joindre la Standard Life, il a occupé
plusieurs postes de direction à la Banque Nationale du
Canada dont celui de président et chef de l’exploitation de
Placements Banque Nationale. Il a également travaillé
chez Fidelity Investments Canada et RBC Dominion
valeurs mobilières.
Au fil des ans, M. Guay a reçu de nombreux honneurs. Il
a fait partie du Canada's Top 40 under 40 et il a reçu le prix
Arista Jeune cadre du Québec de la Jeune Chambre de
commerce de Montréal. Il a aussi été parmi le Top 25 des
personnalités de l’industrie financière du Québec à
plusieurs reprises. En 2012, l’Université Laval lui a
décerné un prix Hermès de carrière.
M. Guay est actif au sein de son industrie et de la
communauté. Il est membre du Comité permanent des
affaires québécoises de l’Association canadienne des
compagnies d’assurance de personnes et il est aussi
gouverneur de Finance Montréal et de la Jeune Chambre
de commerce de Montréal. Il siège aux conseils
d’administration de l’Orchestre symphonique de Montréal
et de la Fondation CHU Sainte-Justine.
Manulife appointed Charles Guay to his current position
when it acquired the Canadian operations of Standard Life
in January. Mr. Guay had been President and CEO of
Standard Life Canada since 2012 where he’s ensured the
growth of the three core business areas: group retirement
savings, group insurance and individual investments.
Mr. Guay holds extensive experience in financial services.
Before joining Standard Life, he held several executive
positions with National Bank of Canada, including President
and Chief Operating Officer of National Bank Investments.
He also worked at Fidelity Investments Canada and RBC
Dominion Securities.
Throughout the years, Mr. Guay has earned many awards.
He was honoured as one of Canada’s Top 40 under 40 and
was awarded the Arista Jeune cadre du Québec award by the
Jeune Chambre de commerce de Montréal. He was also voted one
of the Top 25 financial industry leaders in Quebec several
times. In 2012, he received a Hermès career achievement
award from Université Laval.
Mr. Guay is active in his industry and his community. He
currently serves on the Standing Committee on Québec
Affairs of the Canadian Life and Health Insurance
Association and is a governor of Finance Montréal and of the
Jeune Chambre de commerce de Montréal. He also serves on the
board of Orchestre symphonique de Montréal and of the SainteJustine CHU Foundation.
Mr. Guay holds a bachelor degree in business
administration, major in finance, from Université Laval (1994)
and is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute.
M. Guay détient un baccalauréat en finance de
l’Université Laval (1994) et il est Fellow de l’Institut
canadien des valeurs mobilières.
